It's official!! Got off the phone today and we are headed back to Portifino Sept 4-8th! The best news of all- I was told we are now Platinum!
I was told we are in a portofino suite - located in the west wing, ground floor with patio. Has anyone had this location? I loved the pictures Damo posted- not sure where you were located? Does the portofino suite have a fridge in it? Thanks for any help!

Congrats on the Platinum!! Now you have to ask very sweetly if there are any upgrades to the Villa Suite :teeth:

When I was originally booked into a PS, I asked and was told that there were no fridges but I could request one and pay the daily rate. Turned out I got upgraded upon arrival, (without asking) to a hospitality suite which has a fridge.

Forgot to add, congrats on the platinum!

Thanks! When I booked I inquired about the Villa Suite but was told that was never given as an upgrade:confused3 Should I just play dumb and ask when we check in? I will have to reserve the fridge before we get there - it is for medical reasons for our son. Thanks for the info. I'm thinking a portofino suite on the ground floor in the west wing sounds pretty nice to me! I know the location would be great. I am planning some surprises for my husband's birthday but don't want to say too much( he is nosy and reads these boards too:love: )

Absolutely play dumb. Since being Platinum, we have yet to stay in a Portofino suite :cool1:

Thanks Goofy! I will give it a try but will be happy where ever we are. I just want this to be special for the birthday boys. Have you ever eaten at Nba city? We were thinking of that for son's birthday(he likes basketball) but have never been there. We want to do that Thursday night for his birthday. We have dinner Friday night at Trattoria and Saturday night I have something special planned for Saturday night- my husband's birthday(will post about it after the fact)

PM'd you with the rooms mgr info.

The Portofino suite is absolutely lovely! That is what I am expecting to have on our next trip, as we don't have any special occasions to warrant asking for the Villa. Last couple of times we had a family reunion and an anniversary. They were great in granting requests for special occasions.

We have eaten at NBA City and enjoyed it. The ribs were great. Our kids did enjoy it more than we did, so it seems to be a great place for kids.

Thanks Goofy! We will definately try Nba city this time. I looked at their menu online and it sounds interesting. Do they take reservations?

Hello again! Last time I checked, NBA City takes reservations at http://www.opentable.com

We love NBA City, and I think they recently got a new Chef. I say recently, but I think it was the February time frame. The bartenders there were really proud of him and the food.

Welcome to the suite life!

Thanks Jodie! We are all set with reservations. I checked out their website and it looks like a fun place.
