Missin' my radio!! All I get is the message;"acquiring signal". The radio plays fine in the boombox, but not in the van. Power supply is fine. I tried 2 different antennas with the same outcome--no signal. I moved my antenna mount away from my roofrack in 3 different locations still getting the "acquiring signal". Anyone have any ideas? The radio works, just not in my van.

Pull out of the garage?;)....Sorry coundn't resist.

Sounds like the 'dock' in the van is faulty. No connection between the radio and the antenna. Do you have a home dock that you could try in the van?

hahaha!!! Very funny!!!!!

Dock is fine. Tried the radio with another dock. Same deal,"acquiring signal".

did you call and make sure you still have service?? just a thought..

I welcome ANY and ALL suggestions!! Yup,i thought that could be the problem, but the radio works fine in my boombox! Just not in my van, where I really use it.

Have you called Sirius themselves...tech support I mean...they can diagnose it better..

i did call Sirius. They told me to move my antenna. I have moved/changed/cleaned/inspected/re-routed my antenna. Still,I get "acquiring signal".
I think there's only one thing left to do-----dump it and buy a new one!

My last suggestion, as this is what I would do..

Google search..

Put in your radio model, and the error, and see what comes up...may be something easy to fix...I have fixed more issues this way..

Good Luck...I miss my Sirius..I gave it up over a year ago due to cost, and just havent gotten back to getting it...I miss my holiday music!

I tried 2! I'm just so frustrated with this!I can't figure it out!!

Can you confirm that one or both antennas (antennae?) are functional? I had a bad antenna once. While it's unlikely that you have 2 dead ones, it's possible?

If the radio works in the boom box, I don't think that replacing it is the answer (yet).

(My compliments on your methodical and thorough troubleshooting strategy.)

both antennas work, just not with this radio in my van. It gave me no trouble up until a month ago. I bought this radio a few years back(when stern went to sirius),so I got my money's worth, but I'm just so frustrated as to WHY it won't work now...

If I'm following correctly, I think that the only combination you haven't tried is another radio in your van dock. Do you know anyone with a compatible radio?

Not a very satisfying explanation.......enjoy your new radio!

I had a friend who moved his antenna. He moved from parking spot A to spot B. Then to C and it didn't help.(I know, being a smart butt)
