Portable Photoviewer Storage Advice

I think buying and installing an OS is probably more expense and effort than I'm willing to spend... Buying an acer one is probably still $75 over what I was aiming for in terms of expense - but it does seem like a pretty good deal to get the 160gb one with a 6-cell battery for $329. Battery life like that *could* allow me to leave the ipod at home (always nice to carry less gadgets!)

So... If I'm reading that Mac article correctly - we bought our Mac about 2 years ago, so we should be able to directly connect using an ethernet cable?

It sounds like there are lots of options. I'd probably call your Apple store or start a separate thread here. I know there's at least one poster here who works at an Apple store, and there are other Mac users who'd probably know more.

Be sure to shop around - I noticed when looking around prices on the Acers have come down quite a bit since December when I bought mine ($350). I'd thought about getting the 160GB ($400 at the time), but decided since I was mainly going to use this just for photo storage when traveling and occasional internet and word processing away from home, 120GB was plenty. It's a neat little machine and I really like it.

Good luck.

I think I took over 3000 photos almost all raw.

Over 14 days thats 214 photos per day. In a 12 hour day, that's 17 pictures per hour, or 1 photo every 3.5 minutes!

Consider shooting less, better quality photos. Take your time to compose, get a focus lock, and select the best exposure.
