The information I have found on this forum has been awesome. Thanks!

I've been to WDW many, many times but I've never taken someone who has a portable O2 tank. I'm taking my friend in May. She mentioned that when she took her kids to the fair, they wouldn't allow her to get on the ferris wheel b/c of the tank. I already know the wilder rides like TOT, SM, EE, etc are out. But, what about Haunted Mansion and the tame rides like that? Will she have a problem?

TIA! Any other advice is greatly appreciated! This will be her first trip to Disney and I want it to be great.

I too use a portable oxygen tank at WDW and I have never had any issues with riding anything except RNRC with it. I was allowed to have it on any and all rides. As far as RNRC, she would have to perform a "rider swap" to have someone hold the equipment while she rides. She will also be asked a series of questions that I will not post but will PM to you if you'd like. I carry 4 m-6's and I am on 3lpm. I leave the other 4 in a rolling backpack in a room at a first aid location, and I change them out whenever I get low. I find that I need more o2 as the day progress due to heat and the evaporation of the gas from the humidity:eek:

I am not sure how she carries her O2 but do you know if she has Liquid or gas:confused3? I am assuming that she has gas. If she has a liquid o2 tank, then she will need to make sure that she fills up before she leaves and may need to refill a lot depending on the humidity and her breathing:goodvibes. If she does indeed carry and m6 and she uses the little shoulder bag or as a sling, she will be able to secure it around her body during all the rides or she can place it in the little holder that some rides have and hang onto the strap with all of her might:duck: I was even allowed to take it with me on Mission Space (orange):scared1: and I was afraid that it would blow up from the pressure/ g-forces during the ride:faint:. I could barely pilot my spaceship for worrying about the thing exploding:lmao:.

Oh, and make sure that she is the one carrying all her spare tanks or alert them that someone else is handling them for her when going through the bag check. My husband was pulling my spares in my rolling back pack and he went through the other line and was quickly detained:eek:, they wanted to know why he was carrying around o2 tanks:lmao: (guess he must have looked suspect) when I finished laughing and with my bag check I went over and rescued him from the Police officer that had him hemmed up:eek: said that he was wondering why he was needing all those tanks and had no other o2 equipment:confused3. My husband told them has was waiting for me to finish my bag check and that he was holding them for me:guilty: Guess he wasn't convincing enough till I walked over;)

Need more info PM me and I'll be happy to answer:goodvibes

Thank you! I will ask her what she uses. She lives out in AZ. We went to Memphis back in Nov and she said she could breathe so much better due to the humidity so I hope Orlando in May is good too. She has heart problems too so that's why the bigger rides are out. She beat cancer several years ago and then all of this other stuff popped up.
