Port testing changing to antigen-3/26

Not me. There are no affordable PCR tests where I live. We're talking like $249 each. But I can get an antigen for $20 at Walmart!

Glad they’re sticking to at-port testing (I’m not fussed about what kind). Makes it easier not having to source it myself and seems the best option to catch the most cases.

Will be interested to hear if this changes the experience at all from people on the first cruises after it’s implemented.

I'm on the 3/26 Fantasy cruise. It will be interesting to see if the boarding process is faster as a result. I would assume we won't have to wait as long for the results but I wonder if this could slow things down for our cruise since staff will be getting used to administering the new tests.

Yes, exactly. Unless you were in the process of coming down with Covid or are traveling long enough to pick it up on your trip and test positive at embarkation or you do it wrong at home results should match.

Nope still a deal breaker for us, I am not about to pack up 3 kids and all that stuff to drive to port and possibly test positive and have upset kids after they see the ship and all.

I would imagine so. The issue was always the PCR tests were so sensitive they could pick up old infections that antigen tests wouldn't.

Gone for me too…I would guess it’s a case of them trying to be helpful by giving guests info and then Disney telling them not to say anything until they officially announce it.
