What time do they generally let you into the port, and How's the parking, we are going to have to leave some of our cases in the boot as we dont really want to take all our luggage onboard as we have 3 weeks worth for the rest of our hols
Do many people do this, will it be safe?
How far is the parking from the ship?
Thanks

They usually open the terminal at 10:30 for check-in, but the lot opens at about 10:00-10:15 depending....there will be a CM that directs you to the car park to wait until the terminal gate opens for luggage drop off. Then you would drop off you luggage and drive across the street.

The car park is quite close, literally across the street from the terminal. I do not know if they have 24 hour secruity (I doubt it) but I have not heard of anyone having anything stolen from their car...I would not leave any electronic devices as the heat build up in the car would be damaging to those things.

We left our rental in the lot for the 3 day cruise and had no problems.

People have also posted that if any food was left in the car that they had an ant infestation when they returned....not fun!!!

Parking cost is $10 per day (you must pay right when you park, not when you return.

:cheer2: Howdy,
mmouse was 100% correct about your luggage and parking. Just wanted to say we have left our vehicle for 5 cruises and never had any problems. The lot has a tall cyclone fence around it. Since they have ships from different cruise lines leaving everyday there is always some kind of security around that area. Just keep things in your trunk or cover with a blanket :cheer2: and should be fine. Very well lighted area.

We have used the lot a couple of times; we arrive early and have no problems, although I've seen the line to enter it get pretty long later in the day. Just make sure there are no food particles in the boot (you Brits!) or the car interior...as a previous poster warned, the ants can be nasty.

We parked there last week with no problems for a 7 nt cruise. It was our 2nd time parking and have had no problems. We did make sur there was NO food laying around.

Also, you will love the SPR. We were in 5020 and loved the location. Deck five is great--very quiet and not crowded at all. It was very easy access to the shows each night and its fast to the drink station if you walk on deck five to the aft elevators first.

You will actually not have to even cross the street to get to the terminal from your parking spot. The Magic passengers park in the lot right next to the terminal. We have always gotten one of the first few spots next to the building & don't have far to walk after clearing customs & leaving the building. It is very convenient! We have always left our WDW luggage in the car & even food (though it has been sealed up) and never had any problems. We have traveled in November & December so maybe that has helped us with not having ants. :)
