If you park off property to save money you may need a reservation. You know something’s not at the actual port if you have to take a shuttle to the port. Each cruise terminal has its own parking so you can just walk to the ship. It’s very convenient, but pricier than parking off site.
Our last 2 cruises, the parking lot was full and people were parking in uncovered lots beside the parking garage. Lots of uncovered parking - doubt they would ever fill up unless every single person on the fantasy and dream drove a car to the port!
Never seen that happen. I’ve cruised when 3 ships were leaving out during the week and never a problem. I guess if it was a holiday and both the Fantasy and Wish were at capacity it might seem fuller, but luckily I’ve never seen anyone parked on the roof top yet.
