We chose the POR for our Sept. stay. Which is better, the French Quarter or Riverside?

that is a matter of taste.

I like POR - others Like POFQ - go look at the pictures and see for yourself.

We have stayed at them both several times, and they are both wonderful resorts. POFQ is quieter, and I think it is a better choice for couples with older kids, or no kids at all, while POR has the rooms with the trundle beds, so larger families can be more comforatable.

POR is much much larger and more spread out. It tends to be busier, just because there are so many more rooms. If you don't like walking, be sure to choose your building. On the other hand, POFQ is compact, and very easy to get from the most outer building to the center of the resort without exertion.

They both have the boat service that travels between the two resorts and Downtown Disney. They both have tremendous food courts, but POFQ does not have a table service restaurant while POR had Boatwrights, which is pretty good, especially for breakfast.

POR has the "quiet pools", which we like. At either resort the main pools are always VERY busy, and the quiet pools can offer a peaceful respite.

In summary, I just dunno the answer to your question, because I love them both!
