hi i am staying at port prleans riverside with no car and have booked a day at discovery cove am thinking of taking a cab there as with two kids in tow and the early start thought this would be better till i get the hang of the lynx buses can you tell me how i get a cab will the front desk ring one for me or are there cabs outside the hotel many thanks for any replies

Yes I would def say get a cab..Although you can get there by Lynx, you would have to either walk down the road a bit until you reach DC then you have to trek all the way into DC, if you wanted to be dropped nearer to DC then you would have to change buses for a journey of about a 1/4 of a mile up the road. So a cab is much more reasonable way to go in this instance given the early start. You can call for a cab from your room for free as its a local call (at least I think its still free!) or you can ask the castmembers outside the main door at POR to call you one which is what we always do. It's maybe a good idea to call them the day before if its an early start so they are there waiting for you instead of you having to wait for them to turn up. You can then arrange a return journey time with them as well. The CM will prob call you a Checkered Cab which is part of Mears, so they are reliable.

i don't recall if the number was in the room, but you can just call the front desk and the person who answers will have the number for you.

I've called them for everything, and they've always been able to answer.

(one year i had a tooth emergency and they even had the number for a dentist!)
