Port Orleans Riverside

Hey Andre,

You're going to be there at the end of August? Are you staying at POR?

Yup, sure are! We arrive 19th August and leave 2nd Sept. We've got a request in for Alligator Bayou building 14 (water view) but who knows?!

Cool! We'll be arriving Aug. 25th. I think we might stay in Magnolia Bend. My fiance requested it since it's our honeymoon. Maybe next time we'll stay in AB :) Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Hope you have a great time at POR on your honeymoon, don't forget to do the horse-drawn carriage ride one evening.

I can't wait to do the horse-drawn carriage ride! We did that once a couple of years ago in Quebec City and it was beautiful!

My DH and I will be staying at POR this September as well. I picked it especially since I thought the theming seemed more romantic and well suited for a young couple. Hope your wedding and honeymoon are wonderful!

Hey.. anybody know if all rooms have fridges now in RS? Additionally how about coffee makers? :surfweb:

All Port Orleans (and actually all Disney moderate) rooms now have fridges and coffee makers as standard.

We stayed in the mansions and loved it. Get a water view room and you're all set!

Awesome :) We can keep cold drinks in the room and whatever else suits our fancy. Anybody know if there's a grocery store that's nearby for those of us who don't have a vehicle. I don't mind taking a cab but I'd rather not be driving out for miles.

just so you know the refrig in our riverside room didn't work well at all.. we put in a service call twice and was finally told that our items need to be very cold before we put them in or it won't work at all.. could take up to 3-4 days to actually be very cold.. like a soft drink or breakfast items etc.. etc..

we were told to put ice in the sink and let them cool down... can you believe it?

Congratulations. One hint we did and love it, even with the kids. One evening you need to go to DTD. What we did is, we left our room just before sunset(about 30 mins prior), walked down the river to POFQ and got on the water taxi there. If you work out the timing right, you will be getting into the lake at DTD just when the sun is going down.:thumbsup2 And oh yeah, when you get to DTD, on the boardwalk next to Captian Jack's there is the "Margarita Bar" if you like marg. you will love the Don Julio Marg.:smokin:

We LOVE margaritas!! Thank you for the suggestions!!!
