Bus, boat or rental car to the 5pm show?

Will you be in a park that day? Generally I plan to be in the MK on the day I attend the Hoopdedoo. I like to take the boat over from the MK, its a short walk from the boat dock over to the Pioneer Hall.
I think that if you drive over you'd have to park and then take the internal bus. Same thing if you take a bus from a park, you have to get off and then take an internal bus, but I am not sure which bus.

It's our arrival day so I was going to check in at Port Orleans, relax and then head to HDDR. It might still easier to catch the bus to MK as you suggested.

That is what I would do, take the bus to the MK, walk over to the boat launch and take the boat over to Ft Wilderness, do the reverse to get back to the POR.

i would allow the extra time and bus to MK and boat to FW and Hoop Dee Doo which is near the boat dock. if you bus from another park or drive rental car, you will need to take bus to other end of FW. at the end of show will have to get back to front to your car and buses to other parks. i think it is just the later shows that have buses ther to go back to resorts. all 3 internal buses go to the stop for HDD but time depends on how many loops the bus has to stop at that trip.

We always take the bus to the MK and then the boat to HDDR. The porch at Pioneer Hall is nice to sit and relax on and there is a playground there if you have children. The bus ride through the campground seems to take forever and this way you can enjoy some adult beverages if you wish

If you have a car and are going to be at POR already, DRIVE. The drive from POR to FW is about 5 min, parking lot to parking lot. The internal bus at FW is not the hassel it is made out to be, simply board the first bus you see headed to SETTLEMENT, the color won't matter just that it is going to settlement. To get back to your car after the show, look for any bus going to OUTPOST. If your family feels like a walk to work off dinner it is about 1 mile from settlement to outpost, for my family no big deal, for others it may be too far.
