My wife and I with our to children, 7 or 11. Not sure if you have seen the other thread but we are currently booked a CBR but might change to save a couple hundred bucks.
Would you stay at CBR or switch to POR and save?

Thanks all.

I don't know how you can save $$$ from switching from CBR to POR. They are in the same category resort, Moderates, and usually cost the same per night. Unless you're not able to get an AP rate at CBR and can get one at POR. I'm throughly confused....

DH and I really enjoyed POR so I think that I would change your ressie and save $200. $200 is a decent amount of money!

It really depends on what you like as far as atmosphere. My family and I (husband, me and 3 kids) stayed at the CBR two different times and loved it. We are from MN so the white sand beaches and caribbean atmostphere were wonderful to us in March! The last time we went we stayed at the POR and were not impressed at all. We had to from the CBR because our youngest child is now over 3 so the CBR wouldn't accomodate a family of 5. We really missed the CBR. The POR has pine trees and a real Bayou feeling and look. We can see pine trees anytime we want at home so that was not a real treat to us. I'd much rather see the palm trees everywhere! None of the 5 of us were impressed with POR. Next year we're hoping to stay at the Beach Club or Polynesian. Can't decide! We would go back to the CBR in a heartbeat though if it would get trundles for a 3rd child! Have an awesome trip! :earsboy:

PO Riverside is my favorite resort. I stayed at CBR for a few days in December, and I really liked it, especially since I had just returned from a Disney cruise. The tropical feel was great.

I really like PO Riverside better because it feels like a whole different experience. I love the Alligator Bayou section. When I'm there I feel as though I'm isolated from the real world (it's not really out-of-the-way, but the landscaping makes it feel that way). I love the little animals that run around, and the meandering paths where I enjoy taking my morning walks.

My niece, who was 7 when she was there with us, thought it was great because it "felt like camping but I didn't have to sleep in a tent".

The boat to DTD is a nice thing to do in the evening. Breakfast at Boatwright's (the sit-down restaurant) is excellent, and the food court was good, too.

I'm really glad to being going back there to celebrate my birthday!

POR is my favorite Moderate. Is it a standard vs Water view room that is saving you the $? With exterior corridors I don't see the point of paying extra for a view.

I like both resorts. So... if you can save a couple hundred dollars, I would switch to POR. That gives you extra spending money.
