All the Hotels that have service to DTD have heard this info. But we all hear the info through the grape vine, or should I say pixie dust.

I was just emailing my cousin about this as she will be coming with me. Two middle aged women leaving the hubbies and kids at home. We decided the kids were all grown so they can take their own trips now. lol We will have a blast. Hopefully this will be up and running by then.

So you are a cast member? How fun! Thanks for all your info. You do a great job on here.

We are about 16 days out so I'm getting ready to send in fax for my "special request". This is our family's first trip to Disney and we have DS-8, DD-6 & DD-4 so there will be 5 of us. We have a standard room which from what I understand would be in the AB section due to the murphy bed. My question is, what would be the best room location for us? Should I ask for preferred or as close as possible to the South Depot? Or any bus terminal? A view (although I don't think we'll be in the room much). I don't know if there's a benefit to being close to the main building - we don't have any plans to eat there as most of our meals will be in the parks. Thoughts?

Here is the Info I can readily find on this restaurant. "Pleasure Island's" Name will change to "The Landing" Restaurant Name: The Boat House Location: Right Beside Fulton's Concept Art: Video where they were buying and showing what one of the cars will look like and operate, warning there is profanity in the video so no kids around. http://youtu.be/_Z5e5h6DRrc Disney has not yet officially released any details regarding new restaurants coming to Disney Springs, but expected to be opening at the end of 2014. "Expected", not a promise!
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! Did you get a pin mailed/emailed to you? I've never paid much attention, but lately many seem to be indicating they've gotten a pin code. I have trepidation about August...you're brave. I think I'd melt!

We were emailed a PIN code. Had the dates we wanted, so booked it. We were there last time in late August as well. We don't really mind the heat, you are always in and out of attractions anyways. We really did appreciate the lower crowds as opposed to the rest of the summer.

We have a standard room booked for our upcoming trip. Since we have 5 people in the room I believe I understand that we will automatically be in the AB area; is that correct? Should I make any room request or will anything in that area be okay? We aren't super picky, just don't like a crazy long walk to the food court area.

Thanks!!

Standard rooms for five people can be all around the outer edges of the AB section, basically pretty much anywhere facing towards the parking lots.

I would suggest asking for buildings 16 or 17, as these are the next ones out from the Preferred Locations (see map in first post) and some rooms may actually give even shorter walks than some of the preferred rooms do. Might be worth asking for a view that is not too directly onto the parking lots too, as there is a good bit of vegetation around which can give even those rooms very pleasant locations.

I am getting ready to send in my fax, and I was going to request rooms on the first floor of either Oak Manor or Parterre by the foot bridge and quiet pool. We've got 4 standard RGR reserved, and I am not sure if there are any standard rooms in that area, or it they're all upgraded - since that seems like a prime location. I don't want to request something that doesn't exist - or seem totally greedy by asking for something way above what I paid for. Thanks!!

I think your requests are great. The RR are divided into different categories so there are standard rooms in each building.

I'll be checking in on Saturday and I also have a RR standard view. I'm so excited.

Thanks! So should I ask for building 16 or 17 specifically or keep it more generic - I've read that we should give detail for what we want, not necessarily ask for a specific building??

I'm so excited :rotfl2::cool1::cool1::cool1: :banana: We arrive Sunday morning early so we can make it the HS when it opens. I know we won't get our room that early but will check in to activate MB's.

I sent in our fax on Monday. Here's hoping for PIXIE DUST!!!

Hi everyone!

Hoping someone can shed some light on this - not a complaint by any means, just not sure why it happened.

I currently have a 4 night stay with tickets and dining booked at POR. Sept. 16-20. I called today to add on Memory Maker and to make a payment. The girl I spoke with told me that it would be cheaper to upgrade me from a standard to a garden view room when adding on the MM. So she did - and it knocked my balance down $100 (plus the payment I made, so the savings was $100). Any idea why that is? How was upgrading rooms AND adding on the free Memory Maker a $100 savings!? :confused3

PS - She told me that POR is sold out for the time of my stay (for standard rooms, anyways). I'm wondering if Free Dining won't be available for standard rooms since they're sold out for that time frame? Are Garden View rooms usually included in free dining?

Thx!

She probably changed you to the current promotion, which is a free Memory Maker plus a room discount. You had previously booked a rack rate room and ticket package. There are always rumors that POR will be excluded from the free dining promo, but last year we were able to get a standard room and our friends had a garden room. We're hoping free dining will run late enough in the month to get it again this year!!

That is what it is most likely. Its all about sharing the magic and helping the guests save money for their stay!
