Is this the current memory maker offer they are running?

Arriving in 1 week march 20th for 9 nights with my beautiful DD's 14-17 sooooo excited.( Is it too soon to send fax? I need to do something before I explode!) It's gonna be one of the longest weeks ever!

Regarding the current bounceback offer, can you reserve it for a different resort than where you are staying? I'll be at CSR in a few weeks. I already have a reservation for POR for September. But could I use the bounce back offer to make another reservation at POR in September for 30% off, then cancel my existing reservation?

Yes you can. They won't cancel your current reservation. It will be the same reservation number but the resort will change and the offer will be applied.

Wow, that is amazing! I hope that offer is still available when I'm at WDW in 17 days! :-) Thanks!

If there isn't a leaflet in your room, ask for one at the Front Desk. There is almost always a bounceback offer running, but mousekeeping can forget to check that the info is in all rooms.

when is the earliest I can book for August 2015? Hubster thinks we can book it August 2014 but I think its Jan 2015

I am trying to decide if we should switch from CBR to POR. We are a family of 4, but my son and daughter do not share a bed (one is 16 and one is 6). At CBR we always rent a roll away. At POR there are Murphy beds in some rooms, but are they give less likely to give us a room with a Murphy because we are a family of four as opposed to a family of 5 that has to have one? We would be booking garden view if that makes any difference. I am under the impression that POR does not have rollaway a available? Thanks!

What you could do is one of the following either you could switch to a preferred room at POR and that would secure a room that would have the Murphy Bed. Or speak to someone at the resort, not the call center, that is. If you want to investigate this further you could PM me and I can see what we can do.

Junebug, we stayed as a family of 4 (we only brought our two oldest for this past trip) at POR and requested an Alligator Bayou room with the pull down bed and we got it. My girls are much younger and closer in age but I did mention that they don't bedshare well ;)

You can book now if you like, via the call center. However they won't commit to a final confirmed price until the 2015 rates are released (which, from past history, would probably be sometime July/August this year).

There are actually a lot more Alligator Bayou (five person) rooms than there are mansion building rooms, so the odds are 3:2 in your favour of getting one of the AB rooms anyway. Don't worry, they don't get hundreds of families of five always filling up all of those rooms.

Put in a request in advance (maybe followed by a fax 3-5 days before you arrive) and you'll most likely be fine. Or, as has been said, book a Preferred Location room and you are guaranteed an AB room, and one close to the main buildings and bus stop too.

We leave in one week from today!!!:cool1: So very excited and thankful for all the information on this thread. This is our first stay on property and my boys are so excited to be staying in a Royal Room (it's my oldest's birthday trip and this was his only request). Thanks for all the information-I don't think I'd feel nearly as prepared without everyone's helpful posts!

My wife and I arrive 1 week from today as well to celebrate our 23rd anniversary on the 23rd of March. I've employed Jane from giftsofalifetime to blow up our room with 24 dozen carnations while I have the wife out to dinner as a surprise. I will post pictures when we get back.
Also the weather looks like it's going to be great during that week!

This. I've only stayed at POR twice, both times as a solo and got AB both times. (One time requested, one time not.)

Very romantic. I'd love to see pics!

It does happen, and pretty frequently during peak times of day (especially park opening/closing). The trick is to work out to try to get on at the bus's first pickup. See http://www.portorleans.org/buses.php for tips on the likely routes. But no, it doesn't happen every time.

Do you think it makes a difference that we are going to be there at end of January/Beginning of February when it's not as busy as some peak times of year?

We had good luck at the east stop for the MK but not so good at the south stop. So I understand these are guidelines but are we better mornings to go at say 8 am to the West stop or the south stop for rope drop if we are staying in preferred view? then south for the other three parks?
