I am so excited! We check in on Thursday. Can't believe our trip is finally here. We've been counting down for a year and a half. We are looking forward to our very first stay at POR. We've read and heard lots of wonderful things about it. Thanks to all who have answered our questions. We really appreciate you.

My sister in law is staying here next week and wanted to know if they sell diapers and wipes at Fulton's. I saw the website says diapers and formula, so I'm assuming that means wipes too? Anyone know what kind? Thanks in advance

We are 8 days out from our first visit to POR.

I've invested most of my research thus far to ADRs and FP+, I need to reread info on POR so we don't miss out on anything.

I don't think I'm going to make a room request because I wouldn't even know WHAT to request. We are 5 so I know we will be in AB. I don't know if we would want to be closer to transportation or the main building. I think we'll be happy where ever we are as long as it is WDW!

I am 99% sure they do but can't remember the name. You can call Disney and they should be able to give you direct number. I looked but couldn't find one.

When you call Disney, it is a CCC (Central Call Center). Never rings through to the actual resort, nor do they connect you.

Even the "number" published as POR is actually the call center answering it as if they are in the resort - the next call could be for BW and they answer as if they were in that resort.

The CM's at the front desk do not have time to take the mountain of calls received every day (every hour for that matter). It has to be handled by a CCC.

Yes they sell diapers and wipes. But the diapers only came in one size and are very pricey! We found it pretty easy to just squish a few diapers here and there throughout the suitcase without taking up any room.

In case it impacts anyone's winter evening plans by the way, the current opening hours of the Ol' Man Island feature swimming pool (which includes the hot hub) are 10am-8pm due to the cooler time of year.

You can still use the quiet pools outside of those hours, but although the water is heated it might be rather chilly getting back to your room afterwards!

I'm in Ft Lauderdale now, it's been ok, in 70's. Driving up to WDW tomorrow. Better check Orlando weather, hope it's not too much colder. Only thing I'm interested in is the hot tub!!!

Sue we are here now. It's cooler than it was at home in Edgewater on the coast, AK was cool & overcast today but by the time we got to MK the sun was out & it was much warmer.

POR had the fire place going in the River Roost last night & everyone was crowding around it. We could hear kids in the pool but we didn't venture over to Ole Man Island. The CMs told me that POR was 100% occupied over the 3 day weekend but it doesn't seem too packed now. The food court wasn't too busy at 9am today which surprised me.

Have fun. We've had a great short trip - check out tm.

I'm working overnight and just got a text from my bf that our Mickey mail came this afternoon! Got our DME reservation & luggage tags, yay! And our MB order is being processed (his will be green, mine will be red). Got our Southwest reminder email, as well. I love that things are finally moving forward.

My God....the color and contrast in this photo is so vivid and sharp. Please tell me that you didn't capture this picture with your IPhone.

No Iphone for this one. I was using a Canon 60d with the 24-105L lens. I got as close to the water as I could for this one which always scares me a little as I hear there are Alligators in the water around these parts. We actually saw one two years ago in the waters of Splash Mountain at the bottom of the big hill when you round the bend. It was crazy seeing a CM shooing it away like it was a dog. Anyways thanks for the kind words.

So sad - packing the car to leave POR. It was a perfect vacation just to get away for 3 days & I think we found our perfect location. Building 15 since we always book preferred. Everyone checking in hope u have a great stay.

I have been reading that some people are not happy with the buildings in AB. Can I ask why?
We go in a month with "pool view" rooms. Should I worry about being placed in AB?
