Do we have any idea if the fridge situation will be fully resolved by October 27th?

No, we don't. The best I can offer currently is that the expectation is that it will be fully resolved by "early November", but whether that date may move a bit is anyone's guess.

I need opinions for room requests. We are staying in a RR. And I was just curious which building people like better. Oak or Panterre ( don't know if that is spelled correctly). I know I would like near the pool, we have std view. Thanks for all the info thus thread has helped planning.

We just got back last night. Stayed in room 9051, standard view royal room. It was a fantastic location in my opinion. We were close to the quiet pool and the East depot. It also wasn't far from the south depot. The only downside was there was no fridge. We did get a credit and kept our perishables in the Luggage Room.

What was the credit? I think I've read that some folks have received $15/night, but that you have to request it. Was that your experience?

Yes, but not the Royal Rooms.

Got home late last night from 8 nights at POR. Had a wonderful time. With regards to the fridge situation...we did not have a working fridge and no note or anything in the room informing us. When we arrived home, we had a letter in the mail about it "to inform us PRIOR to our visit". It was dated with a generic "August 2013". No big deal but I did find it amusing.

Any thoughts on if Disney might release a new round of AB rooms for free dining? I noticed again today that there are AB rooms available w/o FD but not with. We had to switch to Pop to get it, and I'm hoping to get back in to POR with our family of five. So frustrating because our littlest is only 3 (still small enough for a pak'n'play even), and it would be so easy to squeeze into one room at Pop, but we're supposed to do 2 over there...

How did you get booked at PoP with a family of 5 when your youngest is already 3? My first trip dates (Nov) were after my youngest turns 3 and I couldn't book pop at all because of us being 5. Then we changed our dates to Oct. for dh's work and she will still be 2. I could book POP then. Changed to POR fd anyways though for such a small cost.

We got back last week from POR and we had a letter from Disney about the fridge too that I thought was funny.

Andre, LOVE the panorama of the Oak Manor court yard. We were there just after you, or maybe even overlapped but that court yard is a favorite of mine and I spend a bit of time there. Thanks!

Just wanted to mention that I have been able to make FP+ reservations for my entire stay at POR (10/18--10/26).

Been checking MDE (everyday - several times a day) on my computer and no FPP or MB. For some reason checked the app on my I-pad about an hour since I looked on my computer and saw I had a new menu item called FastPass+. Clicked it and now all Fast Passes made for entire stay Oct 5-13th. Still no MB's but I must have patience grasshopper 0
