DHS is our first day. I will have to look for them. They will look so lovey in our room all week!! Thank you

Just wondering--would they deliver to the room?

We bought them at DHS right after Fantasmic near the entrance. The vendor who was a young man told me he's the only one there that sells them. I told him I hadn't seen him in the morning. He said he was probably on break. At MK I saw 2 girls selling them on Main Street but we didn't have cash that day to buy them. My niece had to leave hers at the cousin's house in FL because they don't allow them on planes, FYI.

That is a good question...anyone know if they will deliver to the room? My autism spectrum son LOVES balloons and I know he would like the double bubble Mickey balloons. I just can't picture us (with all 3 kids) trying to get the balloons (safely) back to the resort.

Don't know if they deliver. People did take it with them to the different parks.

Thanks. I would love to get a couple on the way out. Note to self--have cash!! So it is a vender-then I assume no delivery. Do you remember how much they were? Thanks for the info

I call him a vendor but he was just walking on the street, lol. If my memory serves me right $12 for the ones with mickey heads inside and $10 for regular helium ones that were extra big.

I forgot to say that new coffee machines were installed at the food courts last Thursday, so Port Orleans now serves Joffrey's coffee throughout.

Hey Andre, are you back home? I saw the maintenance guys installing the new coffee. machines.
We had a lovely time at POR. Thanks for a the tips.

After lurking for a while, I can officially say that we are headed to POR Jan 21-28th! We will be staying in a Gardenview Royal Room and I couldn't be more excited. DD will have just turned 4 the week before we go, so the Royal Room is perfect! This will be DD's first trip and DH and I haven't been in 10 years since we had our honeymoon at CBR in 2003. Looking forward to exploring this resort! I've really enjoyed reading all of the questions and answers in this thread..it is so informative! :cool1:

We are here too! It's been super hot and the other bridge being closed is a bit of an inconvenience but on the plus side it has forced us to seek out & discover the quite pools which we didn't get to do last year. lol Thanks for the info that the bridge is open at night Andre. I think we are ditching the park tonight to hang at the resort or maybe even wander to FQ.

I wanted to add the RFID door entry has been working nicely.

Maybe this has been asked but what kind I coffee pot does the rooms at POR have?

They have these kind of coffemakers with the pods in the second pic below that.

Yes, I figured we would have to get them at the beginning of the trip so we could enjoy them that week.

We arrived on Sunday. We are in a Royal Room, standard view in Oak Manor and we don't have a fridge. W had ordered groceries, so they are keeping our perishables Ina fridge in the luggage room (a bit of a pain, but oh well). We filled our recycling bin with ice to keep our drinks cold. This is our first time here and do far we love it! The resort is beautiful!

Just an FYI. We couldn't take home our balloon either so I stopped by guest services at AK entrance to toss it before we went into AK (flight home was right after AK) and the CM said that they love when people bring them back with helium still inside because they will donate them to a Make a Wish or similar guest.
