Yea we have old Dixie Landings mugs we bought and they said forever. What are they going to do for those with those mugs??

I read on another forum about them selling RFID stickers that can be placed on your own mugs/cups that you bring. Don't take this info as fact but I remember reading and thought I would share. There could still be hope out there for your Dixie Landings mugs :-)

That is wishful thinking, but not true.

I wonder if they will say they are invalid since it is no longer officially Dixie Landings?

I'm guessing that would be the case, yes. The old wording was perpetually refillable at the resort where you bought the mug, and since Dixie Landings no longer exists they'd be within their rights to say that doesn't apply any more. However, given that WDW still honours any remaining days on 20-year-old park tickets for EPCOT Center or Disney-MGM Studios, on the basis that they were sold as never expiring, I guess you never know.

I assume the purple/green generic Port Orleans style mugs would still (technically anyway) count. I have one at home, but not had the nerve to bring it back for years though. :)

What?! So you mean that everything we read on the Internet might not be true after all? Well that's shattered my whole world.... :)

99 days and 2 hours until our flight leaves for WDW and POR. I am so excited to stay at POR since we have always stayed at CBR. I am now on super planning mode and you guys are helping to keep me sane:)

About a year ago I made our reservations, after what seemed like an eternity, we leave one month from TODAY!!!!!!!!!! We are SO excited!!!!

Hi all... I'm looking at POR for a split stay in November, I stayed there about 10 years ago and fell in love with it...but now I'm traveling with kids and never noticed this when I was there the first time....is there a splash pad area for the kids? And if so is it nice or is it just water that comes out of holes in the ground? :rolleyes1:rotfl:

We're 65 days from POR. My family has never stayed there and we are SO excited!! My problem is....all my planning is over! I have booked, rebooked and tweaked all of my ADR's, I was able to secure a ressie for the Wishes desert party...so now what? I sit at my computer and think all I can do is wait! LOL! I will at least get to pre register at 60 days out! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

2 more sleeps and we'll be there. I absolutely can't wait. Work for the past month has been pure hell! An escape will be fantastic!

All rooms in Oak Manor and Parterre are Royal guest rooms.

Thanks ... then according to the map that means that room 9769 in Parterre place is a Garden View Royal Room, not a River View Royal Room correct ... we are looking at booking again for next year as we stayed in that room last year ... however we had paid for a River View room and if 9769 is not a River View room, then Disney has some explaining to do ...

That is not a river view room according to Andre's Map. I mean you can look to the left once you step out of the room and see the river, but its really a garden view room.

I think Andre said a few months back that they reclassified some river view rooms as garden view rooms, I'm guessing because their "river view" wasn't as good as others. So maybe yours was river view at the time, but isn't now.

Do they do the movies here at night?
If so, when is the schedule released for October?

They do! They're in the courtyard of Oak Manor. Andre normally posts the activity schedule for each month right at the end of the previous month :) You can go to his site www.portorleans.org if you want to look at the ones from previous months just to get a general idea :thumbsup2

Correct, and bunch of 'sideways' facing rooms near the front of Oak and Parterre which were originally River View have recently been reclassified as Garden View. They still have really nice outlooks though.

Officially the schedules are available from the first day of the month as Disney don't pre-advertise this sort of thing. I am usually able to get a copy to post a few days earlier though, thanks to a bit of pixie dust from the resort CMs.

I just added 2 nights at POR before moving to CSR then AKV and finishing up at OKW! So excited to stay at POR which was my very first WDW resort! Let the vacay begin! :thumbsup2
