I have booked two Garden View Royal Rooms for November 2013 and have requested connecting rooms as the second room is for my 4 small children. I know that they cant be guaranteed but just wondered if anyone knows the number of connecting rooms in each category so I can book in the category that has the most. Thankyou

If you have two adults and 4 minors, I am pretty sure they guarantee connecting rooms.

I think I read they only guarantee it if there is only 1 adult with more minor children than will fit in one room. If there are 2 adults they *could* put 1 adult and half the kids in one room an the rest in another- IF there weren't any connecting rooms available.

This is what I have always been told also. Our last 3 trips, we have had connecting rooms but I was always told the only way it would be guaranteed was if there was only 1 adult in the party.

There's no real difference between categories, about 50% of all rooms connect. With four kids in one room and two adults in the other, they will pretty-much definitely give you a connecting room (it's not like they are short of them!). Might be worth faxing them 3-5 days out to remind though.

How would I find out what the order of stops the buses make for each park

Is the south depot always the most crowded? But you stand the best chance if getting on because it's first? Are there cast members at this stop?

The order is South>West>North>East, but some buses go to South first and then the circle, while others (e.g. Magic Kingdom) go to West first and then South is their last pickup before the park. South is generally the busiest stop - so for the MK in particular, the outer stops might be easier for getting seats.

I don't want to go off-topic, but I'm curious as to what the CM said about doing a split. I'm also considering doing a 3/3 or 4/3 split, first at POR and then at YC. From what I've read on here, it sounds like it's very easy to move resorts, that it's basically done for you while you go out for the day to the parks.

It is very easy, yes. No idea why the CM advised against it as lots of people do it. Just as long as you don't mind packing and unpacking half way through your vacation, it's pretty painless and Disney will transfer your bags for you during the day while you're at the parks/etc.

Yeah I don't see that to be a guarantee either. The only sure fire chance at connecting is faxing, requesting it, or calling them directly and asking for that which members that PMed me have a chance at finding out the process for that.

Good POR Morning to everyone. I am trying to resume day to day so I truly hope everyone has a Magical Hump Day! If you know what that is its not a bad thing and that it just means we are half way to the weekend!

Venom, I'm new to this board, but I've read enough to know that you are a huge source of cheer and help on this board. I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. Thank you for the Wednesday wishes, and I hope you also have a very Magical Hump Day! :)

Thank you as well. Its what I and many others are here for. Our help, knowledge and anything else we can bring to the boards to help guests.

7 days till Disney (spending our first night at AoA), 8 days till POR! And 9 days till my wedding!! Ack!!

11 days until my fiancé (by then hubby) head back to disney...first 3 nights at the POLY then heading over to POR for 4 nights. I am trying to remain calm but I am so excited I can barely stand it!! We loved POR soooo much last year when we stayed, can't wait to return :o)

For both trips these boards and Andre's website have been tremendously helpful. I'm a girl who likes to know the answers before I encounter a situation...I'm pretty sure these two sources have answered All the questions I could possibly have. Thank you!!

Okay - I will try to keep this short. I read a while ago about some guests sending themselves packages to their resort for their stay. My question is how would I do this. Also, I would be sending a book sized item that I can't get shipped to Canada from a vendor in Texas - is this even possible? My DD has her heart set on a particular journal for Christmas and I thought I could possibly have it sent to POR for our November trip. :confused3 Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Good morning back at cha Venom!!!
And Happy Hump day to you as well.

2 more days for us!!!!! We are leaving home Friday and checking in on Saturday!!!:cool1:

It has been a tumultuous week here, with several things taking place that almost had us cancelling our trip. The most important being that my FIL had a health scare, but all is calming down now and we are being encouraged by family to go ahead with our plans. So, GO we shall :thumbsup2

Wednesday is truly hump day when I have to make it through work today before I get to leave for POR !!!! We are driving through the night and arrive sometime tomorrow morning- hoping for an early check in or we may be napping in the car :).

Just 2 months ago I was packing to head to Beautiful Port Orleans Riverside (seems like years). Having a not so pleasant day at work and would like to thank all of you for letting me read about your vacations/plans and relive mine. This board is so positive I love to lurk around for a pick me up.
