What is the best way to get to a Sat eve dinner at Flying Fish fromPOR without a car? If cab, how much approx?

Cab would be the quickest and easiest. Probably about $15.

That's not correct. Check out post #1 of this thread and the" Shipping To Your Resort" stickie for the correct shipping address.

thank you much :)

You're welcome. I have used the instructions and address in that stickie to ship to POR and never had a problem.

It also depends on how your package is being delivered. If it's by regular mail, then the PO Box line is correct as the postal service does not call directly at each resort. If it's being sent via a courier company though, use the street address "1251 Riverside Drive" instead. The street address would be safe for either if you're not sure which method will be used.

As I so often say, don't ask for a particular building (they are quite big, and so both have some great rooms and some not-so-convenient ones). Ask instead for what you want from the room - e.g. something like "first floor close to the food court due to medical issues, or if that's not possible near to an elevator please." Flesh that out a bit to explain your reasons (without making it an essay), then they've got something to go on.

Yes, based upon Andre's recommendation, this is what we did for our trip on September 14. We requested via fax a room as close as possible to the footbridge to the main lobby and food court, not a particular building. We were assigned to Parterre Place in a garden view room (a surprise upgrade, we booked standard view) and our room was in the wing which is on the side of Parterre Place that is closest to the quiet pool and Oak Manor. I don't think we could have been any closer to the footbridge without being in a river view room. It was an awesome location in my opinion!

I just saw on another thread that Pop Warner is scheduled to be at POR the second week of December. Which coincides with my stay. Will they be booked into a certain section all together, or will they have rooms all over the resort?

We are in the Orlando airport waiting for our return flight. Overall a nice stay at POR.

I did suffer from terrible back pain, and Disney had a doctor make a house call. The meds helped a lot.

The best CM we met was Spencer at the River Roost lounge at POR. Super sincerely friendly, cute as can be, and a genuine Disney smile. We even sent an email to guest services commending her.

I'm really surprised that no-one has commented on this new addition at the South Depot bus stop... :thumbsup2

At present it is only at the Riverside South Depot (with no immediate plans for the outer stops or at FQ) but it's still a very nice start! The TV itself has been in place for several months by the way (I noticed it last trip) but it has only recently gone live. (Thanks for the photo D!)

Just stayed at YC, and one day I asked the CM out at the bus stop about the transportation time thing. He said they tried it, and too many people were upset if bus didn't arrive on time. Because busses can be diverted, etc. so they discontinued it. Don't know if the info was accurate, but that's what he told me!

Where I can understand buses fill up and skip stops since there is no more room. Its not safe to pack guests in as sardines. There is always traffic also to deal with and if guest require assistance boarding and exiting the buses. All of that can make the buses off time. Sounds like they need a better real-time updating system on the buses so that if it gets held up the time adjusts to compensate for that. I am standing all the time at stops and I can hear those whispers of whats taking the bus so long, or sighs after they can read the sign on the bus and its not the place they want to go. Personally I like the TV displays! Just we need a better updating system for the expected times.
