Yes, there's a savings off the rack rate (20% for POR) and you can also get a small discount on tickets as long as you get at least a 4 day ticket to make a package. Maybe the Spring discount was a higher percentage or maybe you were looking at a higher priced room category for the Summer promo than what you booked.

Yes, the Spring discount was 25% and the Summer one is only 20%. I just saw people posting their savings and wanted to make sure that was the savings off the RACK rate and not compared to the Spring rate. It's not clear what the ticket part of the discount is (maybe it's a combined 25% off what your package price would be?) so I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss a better deal :thumbsup2 Thanks!!

Do they supply marshmallows? Is there a fee? I'm assuming that if you want s'mores then you must bring your own chocolate and graham crackers or do they supply everything and again.....fee? My son is gluten free so we'll need to bring our own graham crackers from home as I am guessing they do not have gluten free graham crackers there.

I finally broke down and changed our dates so we could switch to POR :). I am SOOOOO thrilled! I booked a garden view, but I am wanting to know bldg #85 has any. If so, I am planning on requesting one. Also, does it make that much difference which floor as far as noise? I had to book our trip 10 days later than our original date to make the resort switch and just can't wait!!!!

BLDG 85 had plenty of Garden View Rooms! Check out Andre's website (there is a link in the beginning of the thread) he has a wonderful map that tells you exactly where each kind of room is. As far as the floor issue goes, last year we stayed in a second floor room in CBR the noise was less not significantly less but less.

The link doesn't work for me:sad:

And when I go on to the website (old one is the only one I have access to) May is not available. Boo :badpc:

There is an issue (IMHO) with the way international visitors see the Disney World site at present. Not only is all of the My Disney Experience material actively blocked for Canadian/UK/etc visitors, but even some standard pages (such as the one above) get messed up by this redirect.

I am trying to do a Walmart order atm and I am not quite sure which address to send it to? Do I use the street address or the postal address from the Port Orleans website? Walmart is not recognising either of them so I want to make sure I have it right! Thanks :)

We will be staying at POR for the first time in 57 days! :rotfl: Booked a Royal Guest Room for DD since my DSs get the enjoyment of SWW. Anyone have suggestions on the best room location? I have checked in and requested a corner room. Chances of getting it? Should I send a fax a few days before as well?

Thanks in advance!

9 days away and my fax is all ready to go. Did not realize that I could request a standard room in either AB or the Mansions. Any suggestion would help? Last time we stayed in a preferred room and loved it.

Thanks

Called today to get the summer discount and upgraded to a Royal Room! And used the savings to pay for photopass plus. Can't wait for June to get here.:cool1:

Hello Neighbour~ This is our first onsite stay so I was wondering how late we would be getting the package seeing as it has to cross into the barrens of BC!:rotfl2:

Thought I would add, I'm in Nova Scotia and mine arrived recently. The Magical Express came to door by UPS and the coupons and tags came a few days later by regular mail

Please help me decide. The summer sale would save us about $400 if we switched from our current reservation at POFQ to a "preferred" room reservation at POR.

Need advice on the rooms, location, etc that would help me decide.
Is POFQ nicer? updated? more convenient? Please help!!!!!

Thanks
Karen

If it was me and could save $400 mod vs mod, I'd save the $$ plus, you're getting preferred. But that's just me.

Martyap, I would save the money and switch to POR. The rooms are recently refurbished. The work finished up in the summer of 2012.
Here are some pictures of the from last year.

You can still use the admenities of POFQ. I think the draw for POFQ is the smaller size. With a preffered location at POR, you will be close to the main lobby/dining.

Scroll down to see a 360 degree view of the Alligator Bayou section rooms after the refurb (where the Preferred Rooms are).

I answered you in your other thread, but I absolutely would make the switch (in fact, we did with the Spring Discount ;))
