Port Orleans Riverside or Caribean Beach?

We are a party of 5. DH, myself, 20 yo, 19 yo, 15 yo. Exactly how small are the 5th person pull out bed? Is it more for little kids?

I currently am booked for 2 rooms at POP Century with quick dining. Ican switch to Riverside or Caribean with regular dining for the same price. I'lll save money also because I have 3 taable service ressies I would have to pay for at the POP with quick service. So is it worth it to give up the second room to stay at Riverside for the better dining?

I'd switch to POR. The pull down beds are small, but your 15 year old may fit as long as he/she isn't exceptional tall.

Did you price it with the extra $30 per night for the two over 18 kids? in the single POR room.

How tall is your 15 year old?
Bunk is short and narrow made for kids.
A regular twin bed is 39" x 75".

• Additionally, all of the Alligator Bayou rooms (including the Alligator Bayou King Bed rooms) include an extra pull-down Murphy bed located over the banquette bench seat. These beds are about 63" x 30" and are suitable for most children aged up to about 12-13 years, but would probably be too small for adults over about 5' 3" tall. Note: the only way to guarantee this feature is by having a party of five people at Riverside (or three in a King Bed room) or by booking a Preferred Location room.

CBR will give you a slightly larger room which might be a plus, and I assume the bunk is about the same size.

Every family is different as to space and bathroom requirements. My family travels well together and could do this IF we fit on the bunk, but we don't. In terms of dining, the DDP is WAY BETTER than having the QSDP.

We are staying at CBR this spring with 5, 3 teen girls age 18, 15, and 15. One of them is pretty short so I think the fold down bed will work. I'd prefer POR, but it's priced $50 more per night on our dates.

We no longer enjoy the values (paper thin walls, no hot tub, garish decorations). Also, the value of the dining plan is questionable, unless it's free. Even then you should compare the total cost to a room only discount.

The pull down bed is pretty small. Perfect for my 7 yr old. I could fit on the bed (I'm 5'6") but would not want to sleep or nap in it. It would doable, but if your teens are tall, it probably won't be that comfortable for them imho.

In my opinion, no. Especially with the ages (all are basically adults), I'd def. keep the 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and more space. We've stayed at all 3, and between CBR and POR, I'd do POR just due to convenience, it's not as spread out as CBR and it was nice to be able to take a quick walk to POFQ to swim or different food and the boat to DTD. Having said that, we're going back to Pop this year, because for us, it's more convenient (1 bus stop) and while the slide at the pool is nice when you have kids, we just don't use it enough to make a difference and the rest seems pretty similar.

It will be a tight squeeze and whoever is stuck on the murphy bed may hate it. It's slightly larger than a crib mattress. As a back up, you could bring an air mattress for that person but it would be a very tight fit and a very crowded room. I'd also stick with the two rooms at Pop, both for space and the extra bathroom which will be important while trying to get ready to get out the door.

And as PP mentions - the 20 year old and 19 year old will incur extra person charges per night if you're all staying in the same room, so make sure you account for that when comparing costs.

I would stick with the 2 rooms. 4 adults and a 15 year old in one room is too crowded for my taste. Go with 2 rooms. Everyone will have a bed and you will get 2 bathrooms and 2 tvs.

My family of 4 just stayed at POR for the first time two weeks ago. I requested a room in the Alligator Bayou section because I wanted the rustic cabin like feel and they were able to place us there. I'm 5'4" and slim and could probably take a quick nap on the pull down bed, but definitely not spend an entire night there.

CBR was my favorite mod until I stayed at POR. Now I'm going to have a hard time choosing between the two! They are both gorgeous resorts and you can't go wrong with either. As others have said there is the fee for each extra adult on the reservation.
