Stan!!!! Nice to see ya back. Yeah I guess I am one to not deal with chance. Says the guy who wants to stay at the poly the trip after next.

Hey Venomhatch thaks for the welcome back. I've been checking in every day to see what everyone is up to just not posting.

Can anyone comment on the noise from flushing toilets if you stay on the ground floor? Last year I was at POFQ in building 4 and the noise was horrible! I'm thinking of requesting a top floor room for that reason at POR in the mansions section.
Beth

We were on the second floor (refurbished Acadia house) and the only sound that we heard was the flushing toilet next door to us. The were on the same sleeping schedule as us so it was no big deal.

Well I always try for second floor, but one year we were on riverside bottom floor and I don't remember hearing any noise from water or above.

we had ground floor in Acadia and the only noise I heard was when the maid opened the door next to us against the connecting door..it sorta banged, but that was it..never heard anything else.
I have heard toilets and bathtubs run in the Deluxes too..but I learned on the cruise ship to pack earplugs! I keep a packet in my traincase and I never hear anything at night..I swear by them!

Have a quick question. I have a reservation for 2 adults and three children. We are getting a trundle bed so it means Alligator Bayou for us. But now my oldest daughter is not coming and I have paid for the extra person and all that, can I get them to put me in a room at Magnolia Bend instead of using the trundle. We don't need it anymore and The last time I stayed in Magnolia was back in 93 on my honeymoon.

Thanks.

As long as it's outside the 45 days, call and cancel your oldest daughter to get a refund, and put in a request for the Mansions. You should be fine.
Evenif it's within the 45 days, you can still call and check, sometimes they will allow it without a charge, but if it's a $50 charge, the extra $15 a night, and the park tickets for your daughter would make up for that.

Room-only reservations with WDW can be changed/cancelled as close as 6 days out, not sure what sort of booking this is though.

There is no extra room charge for having two adults and three children in one room vs. having just a single adult, only for having more than two adults in one room (i.e. aged over 17 years). There is also no charge for a trundle bed, you should be allocated to such a room automatically by virtue of having five people (not including infants under 3) in one room.

Of course if tickets or meal plans are involved, those are worked out per-person. The cancellation window also becomes 45 days.

Unless one of the 3 children is over 17, making it three adults.
And yes, I was assuming more than a room only reservation, so thanks for clearing that up Andre.

Yes, I did say that. If the person dropping out is over 17, that brings it down from 3ad/2ch to 2ad/2ch, and there would be a $15/night saving.

We really need to know how this booking was made, and ages, to be able to advise further though.

We just booked a last minute trip to POR for Nov. We leave in 3 weeks. I booked online but can I still call and request a room that has been refurbished? And if so which building(s) should I ask for? I dont care about a view, but i would love a newer room. We are a family of 5 so we will be in AB right?

I would do Magnolia Terrace Building then.

Congratulations on the last minute trip! If you are a family of 5, you will indeed be in AB, (we are also a fam of 5 and love AB) but they have not renovated any of the AB buildings yet. Sorry about that! If you can tolerate the double beds, you will love it anyway. :thumbsup2

Hi! Can anyone verify that the Pop Warner people are staying at CBR this year instead of POR? Can't remember where I saw this but it was a while ago and seemed to be possibly just a rumor at the time. Thanks! 35 days to go!!

On the other hand, they are starting AB building 36 or 38 I think on maybe the 25th of October? Andre, help! Andre may know when that building will be finished so there may be hope!
