We will be there on Thursday and the wife booked a room with king size bed. Any ideas as to where we might be building wise? Just wondering if all buildings have some rooms with king sized beds or just some of buildings. Doesn't really matter where we are as we will be at Disney!!! Just curious.

You could be anywhere, there are King bed rooms in all of the buildings.

No problem, building 38 should have a great view depending where you get you could get a river view if you pay for it lol.

Nah, we're going to book garden view because that's the cheapest category with free dining availability. With the difference in DDP pricing/free dining upgrade costs for '12 there's practically no price difference between a value and mod (under $100 for the week) so we're bumping up a level. :goodvibes

I don't much care about views unless I'm in a deluxe resort with a balcony. I just like the idea of the extra bed in AB (we'll be a group of 6 or 7 total, in two rooms - DH & I, our 3 kids, my mother and maybe my brother) because that way DH & I are the only ones sharing a bed. So we'll book as 5/1 (or 2) in order to be sure we'll get AB and request connecting, bldg 38 or 39.

Well Good to hear. I hope you all enjoy your trip! I know I cant wait for ours.

Thanks KCMike! I'm sure we will have a close, personal relationship with that pool on our next trip since we will be in AB-such pretty pictures!

25 more days! 15 1/2 more work days (I work a 4 day work week)...deep breaths. ;)

25 days will fly! Have a great trip. Thanks for the comments.

THANK YOU KCMike :) that was just the fix i needed this morning... the next 7 weeks cannot go quickly enough!! (although it seems the weeks go slowly but the weekends go quickly! LOL!)

That is so serene and so absolutely beautiful! Thank you! :thumbsup2

Last time I went to POR I used Garden Grocer to pick up a few necessities. This time around we won't be doing that. Does anyone know how much a 1/2gallon of milk is at POR (or if they even sell it??)

Thanks!

Yes, but it is only available in Fulton's General Store; the refrigerator case is next to the register; near the snacks.

We bought ours from the giftshop and I *think* I remember it being $2.99?

Have fun:goodvibes

that really isnt alot of money if you arent placing a huge order. I think for our short trip, I will just pick up some things from the general store but for our long Grand Gathering trip next year, I will be using GG as well as having mom bring stuff down. Does anyone know what size the fridges are? We stayed in the Poly last year and the mini fridge was a decent size.

But they have a 40.00 minimum. We just wanted 2 cases of bottled water, and a case of diet coke....any other options?

Thanks for the response. If it's available and around $3-$4, that's a great option for us. I just don't think we'd be able to reach the $40 min at Garden Grocer this trip. Last time I ordered diapers so we wouldn't have to pack them in our luggage. Thankfully we don't need them anymore.

I couldn't find anything about this on the thread...Are the new Royal Rooms mixed in all over the resort or are they in a specific area?

The royal rooms are only in Oak Manor and Parterre Place.

It is on the first page of the thread.

Trying to get a sense of the scale of the whole property. We have stayed at Coronado Springs, and were in one of the farthest rooms, on the far side of the lake. Trying to gauge how POR buildings 36, 37, 38 or 39 would compare in walking distance, but it's really hard to get an idea from the map. I guess what I am wondering, is how does the walking distance compare say from building 36, to the foodcourt, for anyone who has stayed at both CSR and POR. THanks!!

It would be a brisk 10 minute walk or a leisurely 15 minute walk to the farthest building at POR.
