Thoroughly enjoyed this thread... I'm coordinating a family trip (11 of us altogether) and we'll be at POR in April.

I'm putting together at trip in Oct (THIS YEAR) for 27 people! yes 27! Our reservations are for POR....any advice from all you wonderful experts?:grouphug:

We booked a trip for Dec25-31. Gonna have Christmas dinner at Boatwrights 8^). Any pics or info of POR at Christmas?

Noelle

We will be there too!! 12/22-12/31. We went to Riverside three Xmas' ago. There was a tree in the lobby, but other than that, I don't remember too many Xmas decorations. It's a beautiful resort though, I didn't miss them. There are plenty of decorations in the parks.

What time is your flight? We are leaving the same day as you.

We are flying out of Philadelphia at 11:20 and arrive MCO at 1:55 -- with a little luck we will be eating an ice cream on Main Street by 5:00  Hope your family has a fantastic trip!

WooHoo we finally made our resort decision to be POR! The Royal rooms sold me. I'm so excited. We are going Dec of 2012, we can book next week. Yippee! Quick question about booking and discounts. If we book and pay in full can we still apply a discount if one comes up next year, and get reimbursed?

No sorry, looks like we are going with the Garden view.

Still if your getting the royal guest themed one with Princess Tiana in it, please take pics of it!!!!

We have the same room but river view booked in Feb.

Hello Everyone - I am new to this thread and have a few questions about Riverside. We usually stay at the Fort in our camper, but will be staying for 3 nights in November before we head to Sanibel Island. Just wondering what the best rooms are in Riverside, I have seen Acadia House mentioned and would also like to try for one of the new refurbed rooms since we have two young girls. Any advice would be welcome!

Thanks!

The RGRs are supposed to be all of Oak Manor and all of Parterre Place. I believe there are also river view rooms in Acadian House and Magnolia Terrace as well, so they are probably all booked up since there will be less of them now bc of the RGRs.

Thanks! It did not even cross my mind that they would be all booked up :rolleyes1 That must be why I could not see it in the Disney site. I was freaking out for a minute there

Yeah I put my reservation already in for the RGR river view already so I know I am set. Or they are putting me into the polynesian for the same price. :woohoo:

Just checked into newly reverb room in Acadian House. I have pics of room but can't figure out how to get them off my iPhone and then onto the boards. Any help??:confused3

Room is nice and has that fresh paint smell. I have never stayed in a Manor room before but based on pics I have seen. There are new headboards with pictures on them. One of a plantation home and the other of a paddle wheel boat. Otherwise the rooms look the same and the new tv stand looks like the one from POFQ rehab pics I have seen.

If I can't get the photos uploaded, I will do it when I get back home after the 12th. Unless someone beats me to it.

Now off to Magic Kingdom after our midday siesta. :goodvibes
