Andre, what is the fax #?

It's in the first post of this thread, the first FAQ section.

Tel: (407) 934-6000
Fax: (407) 934-5777

Question - I know the royal rooms will be in Oak Manor and Parterre Place. Will all the rooms in those buildings be royal rooms or will it be a mix of royal rooms and regular rooms?

All of the 512 rooms in those two buildings will be Royal, as far as we're aware so far anyway.

Andre

On our DHS day, it opens at 8am and we want to be there early - so no time for a hot breakfast at Riverside Mill when they start serving at 7am.

Yes, from 6am-7am the only section open at the food court is the bakery, all of the hot stations open at 7am. There is also the grab'n'go area of course, plus the drinks dispensers.

All of the bakery items are available using Snack Credits, although I assume you could opt to get several and use up one Counter Service credit instead.

We have been to POR several times and never experienced any of the problems that have been stated. We have stayed in the Bayou rooms. The bus system has always worked out well, with the exception of going to Blizzard Beach. It's a little long, but then again it does all the stops at Downtown Disney and the West Side. I would highly recommend writing to them. The issues that you had should have been addressed and they should have moved you to another room if the plugs and such couldn't be fixed.
Best wishes on what you decide.

Thanks Andre. I don't want to use our snack credits here but 3 or 4 items for a QS would be perfect! Your post reminded me the Pepper Market let us convert our last 3 QS credits into 3 snacks per QS credit on our depature day. So hopefully Riverside Mill will as well. That would be just fine if we could get a drink & 2 items for each QS. Since we'll be paying OOP for a few extra TS meals, we'll have extra QS credits.

I was reading another thread on requests and I'd like to request a room with two queen beds vs two doubles. If I do this, what building or area would I request? I'm not too concerend with where the room is located but rather the beds are big enough!

There are no queen beds yet at POR. They have not yet started the refurb.

Do you know the email address to write to? I waited 35 minutes on a bus to MK Friday and most CM's that I talked to seemed appalled that the wait was that long. It actually made me start calling Disney to see if we could move to the BC so that we'd have some different options (like our freet) for transportation.

Anyone had this.... sounds yummy to me! We go once a month to breakfast at Golden Corral and I always look forward to the omelet bar, wonder if Riverside Mill works the same way!

Yes, they have a variety of vegetables diced, then a couple of options of meats and a few types of cheeses.

Hi basketlacey! We are from Kentucky too-Northern KY. We are heading to POR for the 1st time in late October and it looks like you will be there in November?

So I guess we are semi-hillbillies going to the bayou! We will be in AB b/c we are a family of 5-so the theme works for us really well. 'Cause you know people from KY don't wear shoes and all. I'm kidding, but seriously, when we are in the parks you would not believe how many que conversations we have with people that when we tell them we are from KY they look down at our feet and say, "But you're wearing shoes!," and "Is this your brother?," pointing to my DH.

We are driving, so a 15 hour flight. Do you guys drive or fly? Have a great trip and a fun POR stay! :earsboy:

Hi Rekenna! Great to meet you!

We wear shoes too - all five of us! :lmao:

We stayed at POR last time and LOVED it. We haven't booked yet for this year but I think it will be POR again.

We have driven and we have flown. I like flying so much better because we are so exhausted from the 12 hour drive. This year we will be flying (I think).

Here is the link to Disney communications. I received an e-mail about two days after I sent it just to say they received it and another one with a response to my e-mail (I had two great experiences at the resort with the CM's).

Hi, all!!! I am really excited about the royal rooms and I am considering one for our Grand Gathering for November, 2012. Question - I know the royal rooms will be in Oak Manor and Parterre Place. Will all the rooms in those buildings be royal rooms or will it be a mix of royal rooms and regular rooms? My dad, step-mom, and brothers are coming on the trip, too, and I do not think they will be looking to get royal rooms. ;) We would like to stay in the same building, though - will that be possible?

They will be a mix; therefore, you can book a royal room and they can book a standard room; then you can link the ressies together and ask to be in the same building. Don't give a preference of one building over another and you will have a better shot at getting your request.

You didn't indicate when your ressie starts.....

If you are booking before the refurbs start, then you will only have two doubles.

If you are booking a date after the refurb rooms start, then you would have to request a refurb room.

We will be arriving at POR July 29th and departing on the 4th of August. When I intially made the ressie I put a special request for the mansions section. Do you think we will be bothered by the refurb? The CM stated "business as usual" but I know they are only a call centre and havent been there physically. Has anyone been a WDW resort doing refurb to shed some light?

I haven't been at a resort when there was a refurb going on, but I have read various reports where most mention that they were not bothered at all.

I had a big issue with my reservation a few weeks ago and a lovely CM upgraded us to a preferred room location & view with a king bed (he stated the view can vary from waterview to riverview... isn't that the same though?).

Riverview is a new category. Waterview used to just mean any view of "water", but with the addition of the riverview category, waterview is now more of a "pool view" rather than the river.

I loveee the mansions section so I prefer to stay there... but possibly re-thining AB section since I understand rooms look newer? Should I stick with my Mansions section request upon check in OR try to go to AB? (Btw, never stayed in AB- always in Mansions even since the days of Dixie Landings)

THANKS

I have never heard that either section really looks "newer". Personally I would stick with what you already know that you love (but I am a fairly conserative person ;))

What a peaceful picture..... Is it August yet? We haven't had any summer here at all so far; just rain, drizzle, and fog which I am truly getting tired of!:headache:

Sounds like where I live. I am thinking our trip to FL may be the only taste of summer we get. August can't get here fast enough.

They also added a garden view category next year as well.

I know where you're coming from.....only a little over 7 (hopefully short) weeks.
