:rotfl2:

I don't put any stock in the bus horror stories. I really think it depends on the person. If you are that impatient that you can't even wait 6 minutes, of course you're going to be disappointed with the transportation! Ridiculous.

I mostly agree with you, but I did have that one year where they seemed to be pretty bad (and I usually time them, so I'm not the one complaining after 6minutes :rotfl:). I especially felt bad for the family who had been waiting an hour (unless it really was 6 minutes - who knows :confused3) for an early breakfast bus. But bell services did arrange for a van for them eventually :goodvibes.

Just booked POR Royal Guest Room Riverview for our family reunion trip next year. We normally stay at Poly but some family memebers can't afford Poly so we are staying at my next dream resort POR. I am excited about trying a new resort. I have always wanted to try a different resort but for some reason we always end up back at Poly. I have heard great things about the decor of POR. And I can't wait to see the Royal Guest Rooms. Now all I have to do is wait a year. At least I have plenty of time to plan. And I have something very special to look forward to in a few months. DH comes home from Afghanistan.

Missytara...

Oh yes, we have seen that as well. I truly think some of the biggest issues with the bus service, has nothing to do with the service, but the people being serviced... Wait, not sure that sounds right..:lmao: I love it when I get on the bus and see people giving up their seats for the elderly, tired babies or Mommy's to be. My husband and I always do that. We plan to be one of the aforementioned elderly one day so I just figure we are paying it forward. We are all on vacation & anxious to get somewhere, so lets be polite to each other people, spread the love and Disney magic

SO very well said. Its nice to see that there are still good hearted people in the world and people who have raised their children to be polite and think of others. :thumbsup2 We do have our car with us, but after driving 1000 miles from Jersey I just dont want to drive anymore. We will drive to DTD because that is pretty much in and out, not much of a big deal. I also love the people who run to the bus as soon as it comes. Well you should see their faces when they are told they have to wait until they let the wheelchair on!! talk about rude! Its ok tho, ill give them a kind little "smirk" when they get on. If they only understood how it felt to have your child in a wheelchair at Disney. Somedays my heart broke for my daughter. One day in the park she actually started crying because other kids were staring at her. A cast member came over and was so upset to see her crying.:sad2:

Anyone been there recently to see some rehab progress. If they are on schedule, Acadian House should be done by August 5 On to Magnolia Terrace after that!

I am not so anxiously waiting for pics myself...

ETA: Did everyone who is going in Sept/early Oct see that the Magnolia quiet pool is going down for a month for refurb?

What???? I came to get my POR fix today, and no pics :confused3 27 more days :goodvibes

Just booked POR for Feb 2012 during the Princess half marathon. My daughter and I will be meeting others and excited about the resort. We have never stayed there before, but lived in LA years ago and it looks like a southern plantation.

Yes, the mansion section looks like you're in Gone With The Wind :goodvibes
It's our fav moderate resort. Love the boat to DTD too.

26 days until we are at POR. Love the pics. I can't wait to get there!

Leaving in 3 days! Does anyone know if they have flavored creamers (french vanilla, hazelnut, etc) at the food court? :surfweb: Major packing today!

Let us know what you see in regards to the rehab as Acadian House should be done in a few weeks!

Well I am kinda worried, I have a now confirmed trip planned on Febuary 24th of 2012 and I am worried about the fact I reserved a Royal Themed - River View Room. I am worried if it be done by then, and what the best river view room would be that is still the themed room I reserved? I hear the arcadian house will be first done. But will these themed rooms be in there? If so will they be on third floor, Second, or first? I just dont want to have to walk too far to get to the Food court and main south depot station. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

The Royal Themed rooms are slated to be placed in Parterre Place and Oak Manor. The Acadian House will be refurbed in a General type room, so if you reserved a Riverview Royal Room it will be in the other two buildings.
