If we got a room with a trundle, do you think instead of the trundle, there would be room for us to inflate our own double sized air mattress? That way we could give MIL a full twin bed to herself? She's saying she 'can't' sleep in a double bed with FIL without straining her back. But this way she could have her own bed, FIL and DD could sleep in one bed, and then DH and I in the air mattress and DS *hopefully* in his pack in play. (He uses a toddler bed, so it should be interesting!)

6 nights in the same room as MIL. Let's hope that We run ourselves hard so I pass out super quick every night!

Have you not considered two rooms at a value instead? this sounds like TORTURE to me!!! (and i adore my mil! we are bringing mil/fil w/us this year, but we are doing three rooms... one for dh/i/toddler, one for our two teenaged kids, and one for mil/fil) You should seriously reconsider if it's not too late!

Been Awhile. Away on business and man its good to be home.
Back to random shots...another from the general store.

your pictures as just as good as ejud and the rest of them over at the POTD thread!!!! AMAZING!!!!

Thanks for the pic :). I love it! My DDs loved this movie and the characters. Maybe we will luck out!

We just got back from POR and we had requested Alligator Bayou but ended up in Acadia Building in one of the refurbished rooms. I was NOT disappointed by the change. Our room was beautiful. I never noticed Tiana and Naveen on the headboard. I did notice the other headboard had Lottie and her dad on it but totally missed them. Thanks for posting the pics. :)

I really was starting to question "downgrading" to a mod from a deluxe villa, but your pictures just reminded me of how much I loved our stay at POR in July. Thank you for confirming that I made the right choice. So peaceful and beautiful

Hello everyone! We are booked for a Garden View room in Feb 2012. The garden view specifies queen beds, so I'm guessing we'll get a refurbed room. I requested a mansion, but am thinking we could end up in a 30's room in AB since those are also supposed to be refurbed by February. I really don't want to be that far away, so we'll hope my request works.

Thanks for all the great info and pictures in this thread!

I think you'll get either queens OR doubles; that wording was written for the resort's new rooms, once they are done.

After July, all rooms will have queens - but in the intervening few months until the refurb is complete, you could get either.

Hey Guys!

Have any of you rented the Sea Raycers out for the 1/2 hour? I suggested this to DH and DS12 as something new to do, didn't know if anyone else had tried it and what your thoughts were?

Have any of you had your peeps on the Bayou Pirate Cruise? I had read good reviews of it on the boards. I have one reserved for DS5.

One more-how is the playground? Are there swings?

TTFN!

Can anyone tell me the resort bus locations at the 4 main parks. For POR, is it a good location near the park gates, or a bad location...the furthest away?

Booked a river view today at POR with my AP discount for 2/16/12 and they said it was with the queen beds. Can anyone point me to some pictures. It is not the royal room,

My husband our two boys love taking these out. Even our dd has taken one out before. We have rented from DTD, SSR and Poly. They are a lot of fun. I way go for it.

Very nice pic as usual, and welcome back!

Thank you. How's the new camera treating you?

aww, those are so cute!

I wanted to buy some and surprise the wife but I didn't. Shameful I know.

KCmike...are you telling me your job isn't taking pictures at POR to share with us? :confused3

Thanks for the pics! :)

Ha! Just one guy enjoying photography on vacation. Your very kind though.

I try to get better all the time. I really admire alot of those photographers over there so for you to say that really means a lot to me. Thank you so much.

We did it this past summer. We rented from Contemporary. I would say do it on one of the monorail resorts because you can enjoy the seven seas lagoon, bay lake, travel under the monorails, take in the vistas of Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian, Poly, and Contemporary. We took some pictures from the boat and got some great video footage as well. Just so much to look at on those bodies of water. Have a blast!

Thank you. How's the new camera treating you?

It is treating me very well! I have done some video, but mostly shots of some mountain landscapes, and a lot of Aviation Shots, planes landing, and taking off at my local International Airport. But it does beautifully I can get quite close to the planes as if I am trying to hold on to the wing.

Well we found that it varies, with the stops at the parks. Here is the best of my knowledge the drop off and pick up spots, relative to the Main Entrances.

awesomeness on the park entry pics!! :)

Just a note re: pick up and drop off locations... they tend to change... a lot! even w/in the same day! and drop off changes even more because it is typically based on where the bus is dispatched to go next (i.e. if it picks up at POR to got Epcot, but once at Epcot is dispatched to go to Pop Century, it will let you off at the PC stop)

I know some people have chosen their resort based on bus stop location, and have been disappointed... so please know it's a variable like Venomhatch said :)

Yeah I have noticed they sometimes let you off at the easiest spot so they can resume a change in their route. But yeah I wouldn't bother picking a place by the bus stops either, lol.

We rented SeaRaycers at Poly & WL for the same reason KCmike states. But I don't think half hr is enough. You'd just get going and it would be time to come back. 1 hr would be good. We've always used the coupon from our package.
