I believe milk is either a quart or half gallon at the General Store. From what I've read, they can give you extra coffee pods by request.

Hello to All,

have a some ??

Do the rooms have coffee pots and free coffee? Their refigerators is free?

I am planning a trip for next year and I really like try this resort. The royal rooms look so so nice! I was going to book standard view but i don't want to see parking lot so I will go up to garden view.

Thanks for any info!

They have coffee pots, but but the coffee provided is bad. If you are a coffee geek, bring your own.

Fridges are included, they are half size.

We had parking lot last year and it was one of the quietest rooms ever. But I love riverview myself.

Thanks so much for the info!
:thumbsup2
Also, does anyone knows how much is boat rentals are? or can you point me in the right directions.

Hi I've read most of this thread thank you for all of the information. Can anyone tell me if there larger than single serve containers of milk in the gift shop? How about water can you buy a 6 of 12 pack at one of the gift shops?

I understand the coffee makers have pods, anyone know the brand? I would like to bring some extras. Thanks!

A quart of milk was $2.49 for 2%. They didn't have skim or 1%. Whole milk was a half gallon but I can't remember the price.

The coffee isn't too bad :rolleyes1 but I discovered that it tastes ALOT better if you make it with purified bottled water! We brought flavored liquid creamers from home and that helped too.

As for water, I shipped 3 cases -24 bottle pkgs. of water from Walmart to the POR resort at $3.23 per case and a $1.00 shipping per case. That was about $13.00 total for the 3 cases of water. :thumbsup2
It was a great tip that I received here on the POR Disboard site. !!!:thumbsup2
Between the 3 of us we only used half of all that water , but I wanted to be on the safe side and since it was so "cheap" , I didn't mind leaving it behind for the housekeeping staff....hope they got to keep it !
We also bought the refillable mugs for our 10 day stay...about $15.00 or so for each mug ! We definitely got our money's worth out of them !:thumbsup2

I believe the refrigerators are standard in all the rooms....as for the coffee maker, they take the pods and make 2 individual cups of coffee side by side. I personally have this same type of coffee maker at home and I buy Senseo pods for it. They are much more reasonable than the K-Cups and really just look like a round tea bag (only coffee is inside). Here's some info I found online:

Pods:
Pods can be used with a variety of single serve pod coffee makers including: Senseo, Bunn, Melitta, Grindmaster, Hamilton Beach, My Invento and Cuisinart. The pods do vary in size so please use the chart below to make sure they are compatible with your brewer.

Grams Per Pod are as Follows:
Aloha Island: 9-12 grams ***I've used this brand before too.
Baronet ESE – 7 grams (45mm) *** this has been my favorite
Baronet Monster pods: 12 grams
Baronet: 8-12 grams
Black Mountain Gold: 9 grams
Cafejo: 9 grams
Dallmayr: 7 grams
Emeril's: 9 grams
Fratello: 10 grams
Godiva: 7 grams
Java One tea - 4 grams
Java One: 9 grams
Lavazza ESE – 7 grams (45mm)
Lavazza: 8 grams
Melitta Tea – 4 grams
Melitta: 9.5 - 9.7 grams
Organza tea – 4 grams
Reunion Island: 9.5– 11 grams ***I've used this brand before (good)!
Senseo Tea – 4 grams
Senseo: 7 grams ***I've used this brand before
Solera tea: 4 grams
Timothy's: 9-11 grams
Wolfgang Puck: 10 grams

Some of the pods have less in them and if you like a stronger coffee you may need to double up (esp if you are using a bigger travel mug). I've purchased the brands listed above in red from amazon.com and have been very happy with them. The Baronet brand, Cinnamon Hazelnut has been my all-time favorite coffee. Although, if you bring your own coffee and coffee filters, you can cut the filter down about 1.5" and it will fit inside the pod holder just fine. I do this at home when I'm out of pods and I just want one cup.

Can you tell me how you did this? Did you order online or go to a local Walmart and then have it delivered. I definitely want to get a case for our trip. Great idea!

Andre -

First time caller, regular lurker. Got a question about Yeehaw Bob. I'm having a difficult time understanding his website. Trying to figure out if he's going to be at POR while my family is staying there (Sept. 27 - Oct. 7). It seems that he may not be. Do you know if he's going to be there (or perhaps taking a vacation)?

TIA.

I went online to Walmart and ordered the 3 cases of water and actually 3 cartons of juice boxes too ! I ordered them about 5-6 days before our trip and in the area where it states delivery: I wrote in my name and arrival date (07/24/12 ) .The address of POR, Riverside Dr, Lake Buena Vista and zip code. You can google the full/correct address or get it off your paperwork.

When I checked in , I asked if they had arrived. They arrived in 2 seperate deliveries and the cases of water were delivered to my room by the POR staff. I remember picking up an apple juice box at the front desk.

I hope this helps...it was my 1st time doing it and I would definitely do it again !Thanks Disboard friends :thumbsup2

Looks like here's at POR as normal (Weds-Sat) during that period, except for Sat 29th Sept.

I ordered a case of water from Walmart before our July trip. It arrived at POR two days later...9 days before we checked in. They let us know it was there when we checked in and then went to get it. My only regret was not ordering 2 cases.
