I am so excited! DH and I decided to book a Sept trip for free dining, and we booked a RR water view for 9/5-9/11!!!! I am curious about one thing...the coffee pot. I understand that it is a pod style? Can someone elaborate? I am a Folgers girl, and I gotta have my morning coffee!!! LOL, I just need to know what kind to bring! TIA!

they are like teabags but with coffee instead of tea. Single cup but you can brew 2 cups side by side. I'm picky about my coffee and personally thought it was gross! So I took our mugs and got coffee at the food court (free!) when I wake up. Hubster & princess would still be a sleep and I got a nice quiet early morning walk.

As they don't have a chiller cabinet (apart from the drinks cooler) I rather doubt it. I'd just bring some with you to be honest, it'd hardly take up a lot of space.

Andre

Rats, since we will be flying, bringing it with us is probably out of the question, oh well.

While I was never a particular fan of this specific range (too much like sportswear), does anyone else really miss having several wallbays of resort-specific Port Orleans merchandise to choose from? I know I do. And it was even better when there were separate POR and POFQ products.

Andre

I liked having resort specific merchandise because that way I could keep track of when I visited and where I stayed. :thumbsup2

I agree the coffee is awful. We just got back yesterday from royal room the room was nice but that coffee gives me shivers. Also the sheets in the bed are very poor quality. Anyone else have that complaint?

I had no issues with the sheets...I mean they arent like my 800 thread count egyptian cotton sheets but they were fine.

Kanga1 - You sound like my wife who worries about thing that may never be. Tell yourself it will all be all right. Just think queen beds and two sinks and most of all, YOU ARE AT WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I keep telling myself. :)

I'm so excited to be staying at POR. it's not my first trip to WDW but it is the first time to stay on site, and go somewhere other than MK. It's is also my husbands first time and the kids!

So I just changed my November ressie to include the Royal Guest Rooms!!!! I have a question though. If FD is offered, do they offer it for the RGR or are they excluded?

We're going in september. We got free dining, and Royal Guest Room Garden View. I'm not sure why it's not showing up for some people. I've had mine booked for a while now.

Just returned fro 5 nights in RGR. Couple of suggestions: 1. the A/C blows right across the bed, so if this is too much A/c while sleeping (it was for us) just drape a hand towel over the vents and the room still stays cool, and no direct A/C over the bed. 2. The sinks drain poorly - if you pull the drain cover up and turn it a bit, it will stay up further and drain better.

Good hints, I will surely utilize them in just 10 1/2 more days!:goodvibes

Just posting so my kids can see the signature!!
Gotta get going... Dinner in DTD tonight!
;)

I'm excited to report we will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside in RGR with a riverview. My kids have no idea it's a suprise trip! I will admit that we changed our resort reservation 3 times. We really wanted a RGR, but none were available for our time frame. When it became available I jumped on it. We are beyond exstatic to be staying at riverside;) can't wait!!!!

I'll be checking in @ POR six months from today!:woohoo:

We are checking in 6 days from today!! I am beyond excited! I had originally booked CSR because the pool looked really nice and it was a bit cheaper than POR. But I really liked the southern theme of POR. I am so glad I decided to switch.

Andre, do you happen to know when they will release the schedule of May activities and movies? It would be nice to look at the list before we leave.
