They are the regular kind but on the small size. Included with your room is two packages of Cafe Velet coffee one reg (gourmet french roast) and one decaf. It's just like you would find in any other hotel room with the coffee and filter together in one package. I left a note (along with a tip) for mousekeeping our first day at the parks asking for extra coffee to be left in our room and they left me more then enough for our entire stay.

Thanks!! That's a great suggestion!!

Thanks for all the updates about the Royal Rooms - I would not have know about it if it had not been on this thread.

We check into a Royal Room, garden view on the 4/20; this will be our second stay at POR and looking forward to it.

Hey Andre, if the RGR rooms don't open til the 9th. Do you think if I call my friend there they might let me do a few shots including a 360?

NO, they will not allow anything that is not available to the general public.

I dunno. I got to know this guy really well last trip. He even helped with the recent RGR relocation.

Then he would be subject to termination. Andre was not allowed pictures of the AB rooms last trip.

Hey not trying to start something but what about the person that got all the photos in the last thread while AB rooms were still in progress? Clothing racks had wrapping on them still, etc. they told them it was ok to take pics in there.

That was a contractor guy that was fired, sorry

If you get lucky enough to find someone to allow it, fine, but his/her job will be in jeopardy if they get found out

Just enjoy your stay at the Poly and lounge in a hammock :)

Never heard such a thing, that would require union agreements I imagine for sure and there aren't any happening for a while

I thought so, I couldn't see that policy being changed on a whim without causing some major labor issues, but just wanted to be sure before replying. Thanks for the info.

Once the rooms have been opened to the public, so very much dependent on the dates you are there, I'm sure that would be possible if you ask nicely. I did that on my last trip, and the person I spoke to was really helpful and we looked at several completed room types.

HOWEVER, until the new rooms are handed back to resort operations and opened to the public they would presumably be considered construction areas and would be off-limits, even to most Disney staff (not to mention technically being hard-hat areas, etc). I did ask if I could see a prototype Royal Room or AB room while I was there in August and it was most definitely not possible.

So if you are still there on March 9th (I forget your travel dates) then it's worth asking.

Andre

We are planning a trip mid-August and are thinking about switching to a RGR. We've never stayed at this resort and have only visited the food court in the past. Regarding the RGR, how far of a walking distance are these rooms to the food court and pool? I did look at the map and to me everything looks closer on paper..lol. If it makes a difference, we would be booking a GV.

Thanks so much.

Wow that is crazy. Well then I stand corrected.

Thats good to know. We are super picky about our coffee & will be bringing our own coffee & filters.

OK so here's the first post in my LIVE INTERACTIVE DINING REVIEW THREAD!!

Hi All!

I didn't get any review requests before my reservation, so I just sort of ordered what I wanted to! ;)

Tonight...... 50's Prime Time!!! Get your requests in early and I will check my IPhone from the table!!!!

A couple of things to note: All 3 kids got the kids fish with mashed potato, and my DS ate 2 portions! Evidently they loved it ;)
The boy has never been a fish fan, so it must've been pretty good. The chicken was really outstanding, I would order it again for sure. We had the chocolate mousse for desert which is not on the video because I just about shoved my entire face in it after the first bite. It was chocolate heaven, and I am totally not exaggerating.

For lunch we ate at Puck Express and I had the salmon. The CM at the register said that it came with potato. It did, underneath a huge bed of greens. I was skeptical to say the least, however like everything else I've ever had there, it was divine! The dressing, or sauce, or whatever was on those greens was the perfect compliment in the perfect amount. DIVINE! DH had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and he is ready to go back just for that! I'm trying to talk him into Floatworks for lunch, just to try something different.

Please feel free to send suggestions for CS meals as well, as we are pretty much open to where we eat lunch!

SEE YOU REAL SOON!!!

Just a couple of quick notes about our first stay at POR:

1. Fabulous location! I love the boat to DTD. I have stayed at OKW several times and this is always one of my favorite things, so I am enjoying it here as well.

2. I love the food court! After staying at POP a couple of times this is more than just a step up for sure. I had the make your own pasta on our arrival day and it was very good and more than enough food. The CS options at OKW are limited to say the least, so this is a nice change.

3. POFQ: our bldg is very close to the mansions, so we are headed over there to check it out for lunch. I like resort browsing, so it is nice to be so close!

4. I really like the curtain for the bathroom, it gives a real sense of privacy. You don't have to close the bathroom door to shower and that makes the room feel much much bigger.

5. The Murphy! I know that the trundle was bigger and in a few years I might not feel the same way, but for our family dynamic RIGHT NOW it's perfect!

6. This is the loudest toilet I've ever heard. Ever.

7. I miss having a balcony. I really don't think that view preference matters here because I would never leave my blinds open. With a walkway instead of a balcony there are always people walking by your window. Also the balconies at OKW are flipping HUGE so it's really like another room. Our kids love coloring and playing out there at breakfast and in the evening. However, for the price difference and free dining, I'll skip the balcony!

It's been a long time since we stayed at a MOD (2001 at Coronado). We have stayed DVC and value for the past few 3 years, but I really really like it here! I walked to the main house yesterday and it was not too long and very relaxing. The grounds here are beautiful!
