Still no call for me.....:confused::confused::confused:

We check in March 3rd for 9 nights. Is there anyone else left that booked right through Disney that still has not been called, or is it just me?

I am booked directly with Disney and have not yet gotten a call for my March 8th check in.

I am wondering if they've decided some of the rooms are going to be done so they're not moving everybody. To those who haven't gotten calls- did you have a standard room or waterview or something else? I had a standard view so maybe they will have a section of the building complete and are going ahead and reserving those...

I have a garden view RGR booked, which was the only thing available when I booked. I believe according to the Disney page now (for example, when I looked at March 10th for when they are showing up again, they are offering standard, garden, and river views for the royal rooms).

So I'm still hoping to hear something. At this point, I just want to know one way or the other since I know the room isn't supposed to be ready when we arrive, but could be within a day or so :confused3

Stinkerbellsmommy- we're in the same boat...standard view booked through a TA, and as I recall the same dates. I can't imagine they would put people in a building where construction was going on all day but maybe they will.

You are going 4-10 March I think, yes? I wonder if they might be expecting to have part of Oak Manor completed by then, as it does separate into neatly isolated wings which could be opened separately from each other. Given that there are 256 rooms in that building it could well be that some sections might be completed sooner than others. They did that with the other mansion buildings, opening the building back up in stages over a period of a few days.

However the impression that I was given was that none of the Royal Rooms would be opened until 9th March.

WDW left hand? WDW right hand? Say hi to each other...

Still no call for me.....:confused::confused::confused:

I booked through disney. I have tried calling so many times and all I get is people who have no idea what I am talking about, or someone tries to transfer me to central reservations and tells me "they are aware and will send you to the specials team." Once I get to CRO, they of course have no idea.....

We check in March 3rd for 9 nights. Is there anyone else left that booked right through Disney that still has not been called, or is it just me?

Does anyone that has already been rebooked have any phone number I can call?

Thanks!

PM'd you

Hey Andre,

Not to make work for you, but do you have any inside sources you could tap into to see if there's any update? I just don't want to keep calling the reservation center (which goes nowhere) or be constantly anticipating a phone call that may never happen.

Obviously an upgrade would be wonderful, but at this point, I'd love to just know either way, so I can look forward to the trip and make plans around park plans/transportation/ADRs/etc. based on where we're going to be.

First off I would be calling the TA, since so many have reported a message being left to call Disney back, it is quite possible the TA has dropped the ball.

Also I have to wonder if booking through a TA is similar to the person who reported she booked thru Expedia and would not be upgraded to a Deluxe resort? I can not recall if anyone on here has been upgraded who used a TA

I hope you hear something one way or the other I would be half-crazed waiting if it were me.

Good Luck

I booked through a TA and was upgraded early on.

I agree...

I know it's completely my fault for just getting excited when I should have just waited to see what would happen. I was under the impression that from the boards, everyone, with various views, and varying dates (both before & after ours) was being moved. Like Cassiopia said, at this point, I just would like to know for sure.

TIA for any and all help!

Yeah you were the first one to get the upgrade weren't you? Then we got it the next day. I believe that all the TA ones were contacted first with some still trying to catch up.

So strange....I agree with the others, I just want to know one way or another. I finally got a hold of someone who said that they were forwarding my number to the "special team" and that I would get a call from them today. I hope so...

One agent I talked to today said, yes, I see a note here that you will be getting a call, another agent I spoke with I asked for them to look at my account because there was a note saying that I would be getting a call, and they told me that they could not find anything like that. hmmmm

Guess I will just wait and see.

Wow. I am surprised that some of you still have not gotten your calls yet. I would be very frustrated too was we had to move a lot of ADRs as well. Good luck!

Yes, we're staying the 4-10. I'm just going to plan under the assumption that we're staying in the RGR and our plans won't really change b/c of an upgrade- we didn't have any ADR at POR so it's not that big of a deal for us. Thanks for all the info and the help!

MsDeVil, we're staying the 4-10 as well...looks like we'll be the only 2 families in the RGRs at that time. I'm sure we'll be running into each other in the hallways ;). We don't have any ADR at POR either, so we're ok too. Just frustrating to not know anything.

We just booked Oct 13-17 in a Royal Room standard view with a 30% discount! I've never stayed at POR. My friend and I are so excited!:goodvibes

You're going to love POR! It's been a few years since we have stayed there, but it remains one of my very favorite resorts. The atmosphere is pretty much as good as a deluxe IMO.

Hey are you seeing this over at poly thread, we are being looked at as scum, getting the upgrades we are.

That's just sad. Just tell those snobs to "poly up" and focus on their own vacations and not worry about yours.

Hi everyone,

I have been reading this forum for quite some time, but this is the first I have posted. I am just curious I have a reservation in a 5 person room at the POR in late March, and was wondering if anyone with this room category was getting upgraded? From what I have seen on the Internet it seems these rooms are also currently getting renovated from a trundle bed with doubles to a Murphy bed with queens. Anyway, I was just hoping some of that pixie dust could fall on us with larger families too. Here's hoping.

Thanks to all.

Welcome to the DIS! :wizard:

The funny part is that this trip is 2 days after my DH's birthday and so I keep joking it's his birthday trip too- didn't I see that it was your DH's birthday in your siggie? I say we have campouts in the hallway since we'll have the place to ourselves-lol

Well to feel like I was doing something besides staring at my phone, I tried calling reservations again to see if there were any notes on my account or anything, which there weren't.

The CM said their current information shows that (and Andre may know what these numbers mean) that building 90 was to be done on 3/9 and building 95 would be starting on 3/11.

She said maybe I wasn't getting called because they'd be able to get me in the room. When I pointed out again that I was arriving the day before the building is supposed to be done, she didn't have anything to add, except to offer to find me a room in a different section at POR.

Said if I hadn't heard by a couple of weeks before my arrival date, I could definitely call again. Grrrrr!

I am booked to arrive March 4th and I just got my call this morning. I ended up with Grand Floridian Lagoon View so I am satisfied. I really wasn't keen on GF, but my kids saw the pictures of it and fell in love, so that's what I chose. Now that I am booked there, I am sort of getting super excited about it. :dance3:

I am *there* for the campouts! Technically, his bday is at the end of the month, but we always celebrated my daughter's birthday (in January) on our trips, so we just decided to let him celebrate early, let him feel special :thumbsup2

This seems like it would be positive for ALL of us, because if the buildings aren't scheduled to be done before we arrive, then wouldn't we have to be moved? This secrecy is driving me nuts!

Congrats for you poconopixie! :goodvibes If you don't mind me asking, what type of room view did you have? Standard, garden, or river?
