Here's an interesting photo which answers a little question that's been bugging me about the refurbed King Bed rooms in Alligator Bayou for a while now...

The question is, how do you book a third person, as the WDW site won't let you as yet.

Andre

Andre, I posted a room dilemma question on your site. I need your advice!

Yes, and I answered it... after you bumped it a few hours after first posting it. It's worth asking here too, see if anyone else has any other ideas?

My hubby finally officially said the price difference is worth it to him and to POR we go! Now, let's hope when I try to book FD on Monday that I am able to get it! :) SO excited and as much as I love Port Orleans already, the pictures and info at this thread and on the website have just fueled the fire for me. I'm normally super cheap and always get what will cost the least. But not when it comes to Port Orleans... :)

Hmmm that room would be perfect for us if we could book a 3rd person.... Now if we can book with a 3rd thats gonna put us in a dillema King with Murphy Bed or Royal Guest room :rotfl:

Edit: I'm talking for next year not this year.

I'm calling again on Monday also. We have FD but at CBR. I called today to get a garden view roon and they only had a river view but that is more than I wanted to spend. I'm hoping they will open up more rooms to the GP than they did the disney visa promo.

Hi everyone - Im been reading this thread since January and it has been super helpful! I am counting the days to my split stay at POR (RGR) from 3/31-4/03 and Animal Kingdom from 4/03-4/06.

Question: I booked my trip through AAA, and noticed that many of you have gotten Mickey mail. I havent gotten anything, and am wondering if i should have received something by now. I paid for my trip on 2/08 with the Magic Your Way package (and free dining too!).

Thanks!

I would imagine that maybe they holding off on sending out all the RGR until they are all open in case they have to move people around. We have been paid off for a while and we go in April. Normally we have our stuff right after we pay off!

Quick question. I am booking for an end of August trip in a preferred room at POR. We only have four in our party but we would like a trundle (dd and ds don't share a bed). I can bring the air mattress but I'd rather not.
I guess I just make a request and hope for the best?

ETA) and yes I am aware that families of five take precedence. We just got one last time without even asking so I'm assuming they have some leftover in slower times.

That room would be perfect for two adults and one child.

Its super windy in our area and we lost power about an hour ago. Luckily we have a generator so I can still cruise the DIS boards! :dance3:

I'm wondering whether they won't update the online booking site to allow three people until all of the King Bed rooms in AB have the extra bed option fitted. I suspect that come August there will be some changes to the wording of the online site too (queen beds, etc).

Do the rooms at POR have the old coffee makers, or are they being upgrade to the Keurig (or similar) style coffee makers?

All preferred rooms will have the murphy bed by August, so if you book preferred, you will definitely have one.

Wow, how were you able to score free dining during that week? My wife and I are staying at POR that same week and there were no discounts to be had which we assumed was due to the Spring Break period.

Was free dining offered to you through AAA? Or did we miss out on a promotion at some point in the past?

My DH posed a question this morning and I thought some here might have some insight (Andre?? ;))

We are booked in a RGR for March 26-31. At this point, I'm fairly sure we will actually be in the RGR and not upgraded somewhere else (bummer LOL!). His question was then (after looking at the pictures Andre posted about the progress of the rooms) will we be inconvienced with construction noise and workers, etc, if we are in a RGR while they are still working on rooms in the same building or will they be sure the entire building is completed before they start letting people stay there?

Thanks for any input!

Thanks for your insight on my room dilemma question. I'd like to see what rooms guests are getting with the RGR Garden view bookings. If I get a discount or FD I may go ahead and book River View anyway.

I think a lot of people are getting a discount with bounceback offers. I noticed quite few people with discounts for my dates that were only offered by bounceback.

We have free dining for March 26-31. It was a promotion that we booked shortly before Thanksgiving. I think you had to book before sometime in December, but I forget the exact date.
