Its a direct line and I have to enter an extention number. If I just wait on the line, it hangs up! UGH!!! I work all day tomorrow and so I'm not sure I will be able to call then either. The person that called is off at 4pm, which is 3pm my time.
 
Hey there! I remember reading on this thread ,a little while back , someone had figured out the banjo tune they use on the busses..I can't seem to find it!! :surfweb:I have used the search function and gone back 30 pages, but no luck! We need a little something to get us through till 2013!! Anyone know what it is? TIA :goodvibes
 

The person that called is the same one that responded to my email. I cant imagine why she would be calling to discuss it. There was no room for discussion in the response she gave, and it was open ended at all.

Im curious as to who you emailed? Did you get a particular persons email or just send to guest relations?

What was your conversation? Were you trying to secure the queen room??

I emailed because when we made our reservation, it stated Garden View Queen Beds. I had called once and the CM told me the queen beds were a request and refused to add the request to my reservation. I called again and spoke to a supervisor, who told me the same thing but did add it to my reservation and said she would call the report directly to request queen beds. But again....just a request.
So...I emailed and just expressed my frustration in the fact that they refused to add a request and that I made my reservation thinking I was getting queen beds. I let them know that I am traveling with my friend and her daughter. We had made a decision to share a room at POR instead of 2 rooms at POFQ because we could save money and stay longer....all the while thinking these rooms also had queen beds. I just basically wanted someone to know that what was on my original reservation wasnt what I was getting.
And you know, no one ever said I am sorry that happened or I am sorry you are frustrated...
And the response to my email was.....room requests are just that....a request.
And so I was all good with that. It isnt going to ruin my vacation.....
and then I get this phone call!!!

I think I am going to have to try to call on break! I dont know if I can wait til lunch! Its probably nothing...but I guess theres always that small hope its an upgrade.

I would love to know what they are going to say! I have emailed as well and my TA has a request on my reservation for the refurbed rooms. I am not very excited about the way I was led to believe all garden view rooms had queen beds and a new murphy bed and now it is like that was never on the Disney website. I have stayed at POR before and am not going to let this ruin my vacation, but it will really help us as a family of 5 to have the extra room when sleeping.
 
Oh geesh!!! I missed a call from a Disney World reservation person today and when I tried to call back she was gone for the day!! Dying to know what she wants!!!
I had sent an email expressing my frustration over the full/queen bed situation, since we did book a garden view room that stated queen beds, and I received an email reply similar to what I was told when I called.....queen beds are a request only...blah blah blah. I made peace with the fact that we may have full sized beds and let it go. NOW I get a message and she says she would like to discuss the email I sent. :confused:
Wonder what she is going to say??????

I cannot remember the lady's name, but she told me that she had talked to the "Inventory Manager" at POR and he has made a note that I am to be guaranteed a room with Queen beds. She also said he told her if I do not automatically get the Queen beds at check-in, to have the CM at the check-in desk call the Inventory Manager (she gave me his specific name and info) and he would make sure we got the room we reserved. She acted very certain that this will not be a problem and even armed me with the Inventory Manager's name and number. So, I'm happy with that and feel pretty confident that this will be handled appropriately. :goodvibes

My call came from Disney Travel.
When I called and talked to a supervisor she also told me she would call POR and talk to the Manager, I dont remember who she said speifically and they also put on my reservation must have queen beds. She also acted very certain we would get queen beds....but then she also said its a request. And when I expained my main reason for doubting we would get them is because we are arriving at peak travel time, when the resort is booked so there is little(or no) wiggle room for adjusting at check in....she agreed that it was a strong possibility due to the high occupancy. She gave me her direct line so we will see....
Maybe thats what this person is calling to tell me???

I just wanted to stop by here and say that after spending the last 20 minutes or so checking out the POR photo thread, I can't wait to book a trip there. We have only stayed Deluxe, but POR looks so beautiful. I hope we can at least stop by there during our June trip. It might just convince my husband that we can stay there next time.
