Port Orleans - no more 5 persons UPDATE

I would go for two rooms at POP :wizard: - you would have 2 bathrooms and alot more space, you could almost have a double bed each rather than be crammed into the beds at POR  . The rooms at POP aren't much smaller than the rooms at POR :cutie: . I liked the bus service better at POP, when we stayed at Riverside sometime by the time the bus go to our stop it was standing room only and it was a much much longer walk to the food court too  .

Yeah I was gonna say I can't imagine the rooms in Pop would be much smaller, we found the rooms in POFQ to be relatively small compared to an equivalent hotel offsite (Sheraton Studio City) but I guess that is to be expected. I used the bus from POFQ to Epcot once and found it OK but I really prefer the convenience of the car (I have done 2 Orlando trips without one but after having one last time i'm spoilt! ;)), I think i'd only consider not having one if me and my sister do a cheap week just doing WDW which we're currently plotting :rolleyes1

The value resort rooms are 260 square feet and moderate resort rooms are 314 square feet so in theory with 2 value rooms you will get 520 square feet of room space which may be better for larger families anyway you can hire a fridge for under $15 a night or get one free if you need it for medical reasons request it on booking or ask for it by fax if you can't get a fridge swap over on the Resorts threads. Hope this helps folks who are undecided.

After a good browse around it seems that on the US Disney site you can still book a room with a trundle bed but for some reason UK Disney partners can no longer book these rooms. Andre the creator of http://www.portorleans.org has been in touch with them about it recently.

Interesting - when we were in WDW 2 years ago we actually bumped into Mr Mo's cousin in one of the parks. She was there with hubby and her 3 kids and had originally booked POR which was where we were but she had had a call from the Travel Agent saying they had made an error as POR didn't sleep 5 - she knew it did as they'd stayed there before - but travel agent argued, said it was their mistake and put them in the Beach Club instead at the same cost!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were sooooooo jealous!

Indeed - they were ever so slightly over the moon - especially when they found out the actual difference in price!!
