Port Orleans French Quarter

I just booked a great rate with AAA for a King room at Port Orleans French Quarter. This trip will be just my 9 year old daughter and myself--will I feel safe here?? Is it gated or have someone that checks if you are suppose to be here or not??? I also have a good rate for the WL so now I am trying to decide. We have stayed at the WL before and wanted to try something new so we thought of PO FQ but I also want to feel safe.

POFQ has a gate. I think all the resorts might have one? We stayed at POFQ and POR. I used to travel on my own quite a bit and I feel safe most places, but I think most people would feel safe at POFQ.

I have stayed at the POFQ many times by myself, and I have always felt very safe. Even when I've walked back from the main building to my room at 2:00 in the morning after a night at Jellyrolls.

My mom and I stayed at POFQ during the summer and could not have asked for anything more. We loved it and don't plan on staying anywhere else. We felt very safe walking by ourselves and together late at night. There was a gate at the enterance and the guard always checked our pass. I would highly recommend POFQ to you and your daughter. It's a great choice!

ALL Disney resorts have a gate guard. I have never felt nothing but safe at any Disney resort. Go for the French Quarter for a different feel. You won't regret it.

I was there in September. I loved it. I never even thought about safety. It was so beautiful and quiet.

We were also there in September and I can honestly say that I felt that my family was exceptionally safe. One of the nicest things about POFQ is that, even though the resort was booked up, It never felt full. It was always very quiet and calm. I am sure that we won't find the same thing at Pop on our next trip, though

We stayed at PORFQ in July, we felt very safe.

The hotel is pretty, the rooms are nice, but we had a lot of problems with the service. Maybe it was an off week for them (July 4th week). But we probrably wont stay there again.

We are going in Dec for the Christmas Party and will be staying at CBR. We have stayed there before and loved it.

I've stayed at POFQ 4x. In Jan., I took my girls there by myself and felt very safe. One of the nice things about this resort is the small size. Whatever building you end up in, it won't be a long walk...
I love the theming there, and the boat to DTD!
