just wondering if the remodeling is done yet and if the resort is open does anyone have photos of the work that has been done ty

Hi! I was just at POR 2 weeks ago and on the boat to Downtown Disney they said they did not know when French Quarter would open .The pool has obviously not been painted. They are working on it regularly because the boat driver said that she see changes every week.

I wish they'd publish some date for the re-opening. We're going in June & are interested in staying here.

I just received a passporter update via email for my WDW Passporter book and it states that they are trying to get POFQ ready to open by NOV in order to help with the holiday crowd. Dont know if this is true but usually their info is pretty accurate. I hope this is true. However, it did not say when they will start taking reservations. We love the POFQ!

Have a great trip!

When PO-FQ 1st closed, it was stated that it wouldn't reopen for 2 years, and as of now, there has been no official word to the contrary. If I were making plans, I would get reservations at another resort, then as time gets closer to your trip, call and see if PO-FQ is accepting reservations yet and switch them over. That is how we got in last October.

I asked 2 weeks ago for a February reservation and the CRO said it was not going to be open. I took POR instead.

The common thinking seems to be that this two-year window applies to the multi-stage refurbishment of the entire Port Orleans resort, of which the PO-FQ rehab is "stage one". This makes sense, given that building Port Orleans from the ground up took about two years, so one wouldn't think a dedicated rehab would take anywhere near that long.

This remains good advice nonetheless. Until a date for reopening is firm, the CRO agents will likely not be told anything official.
