Love this thread now that I've found it. (Thanks ChipNDale! :grouphug: )

When I was reading last night, I had a page open that showed a map of POFQ showing the designated smoking areas. I can't find it now. I would like to take that into consideration when I call back to make a room request. Does anyone know where it can be found? Please and thank you!

It seems like they are everywhere.

How old do you have to be to do the Bayou Pirate Cruise? We'll be at POFQ in early Feb with my 3 y/o grandson.
I booked a standard room for all three POFQ trips and made the same requests: first floor, buildings 2 or 5. Are there any standard rooms in those buildings?

They must be a minimum of 4 years old; sorry...... maybe next time.

Oh well, there's still plenty to keep him happy down there!:rotfl: Thanks!

So excited!! 14 days to our vacation! Plus we didn't think my husband was going to be able to make the trip and now he can so I'm even more excited now!

How long a drive is it from POFQ to Animal Kingdom Lodge? We have breakfast reservations our last day at Boma and the only time I could get was for 9:15, so we'll have to check out before we head over. We have a car, so we'll be driving.

I would give yourself at least 20 minutes, probably a little more to allow some time for taking the wrong turning (which for some reason is quite easy to do in the AK area).

I decided to book POFQ for the last part of my next solo trip! :cool1:

I'm so excited to see the new rooms and to use the free WiFi :goodvibes

I'll take lots of pics this time - since I'm solo I foresee a lot of naps and wandering about with my camera on this trip.

Had a fantastic stay at POFQ Dec11-17! My husband says he will no longer stay anywhere else. When we checked in they had not assigned us to connecting rooms like we had requested. The CM said if we were willing to wait for rooms she would give us a complimentary upgrade to riverview rooms. No problem.....we went and enjoyed Epcot. We had rooms 1229 and 1230. Our mousekeeper was Nilda and our room was very clean and she left lots of fantastic towel animals for the kids. Bus service was great and the resort was so quiet and peaceful. Can't wait to go back........just have to wait about 3 years!!!!

So excited about the new Wi-Fi service! I hope we'll receive more reports about in-room use. :thumbsup2

LOL, I love the fact the the most exciting thing about a trip to Disney World at the moment is free wi-fi internet at the hotel! :)

Right nowI'm sitting in a newly refurbished room at POR using the free wifi. Life is good.

:cool1: I called today to switch our upcoming vacation (April 2012) from the Pop Century to the POFQ! I've stayed at the Pop before and while I really enjoyed it I couldn't pass up spending a mere $400 more for a 9 night stay here. It will be my first moderate stay and I've previously stayed at the Poly (maybe one of the few people who didn't love it), Pop, All-Star Sports and others off-site.

Thank you for all of the great information!!!

Can't wait until the end of May to be back at POFQ. DW, DS6, DS3, and myself stayed their last year for the first time. We have stayed at POR 2 times before and never thought we would stay anywhere else. POFQ is our new home away from home. Can't wait for the free wifi and DS6 can't wait for the serpant slide.

When I booked my reservation yesterday (directly through Disney over the phone) I asked for a Standard room, if available but was told there wasn't availability. The CM said she had a King room so I went ahead and booked it. Later on in the conversation she said the king room wouldn't be guaranteed and I didn't think anything of it BUT I realize the King room is about $25/night more and we'll be staying for 9 nights. If there aren't any King rooms available will they adjust the price? I assume not since the full payment is due 45 days prior to arrival.

Thanks!

I just booked today for May 12-19 with a Free Dining Pin and was only able to get "garden view." I've heard of standard and river but never "garden" where is that? I though standard looked at the gardens...hmmm. I am sure somewhere on these 200+ pages is the answer but maybe someone can help. Thanks!!

Hey Andre :wave2::wave2::wave2:!!!

Good luck, let us know how you get on and how widespread the coverage is.

Hopefully you can now post us a message via wi-fi sitting by the pool! :)

Andre

When it worked it worked well. Saturday and Sunday it was great, Monday and Tuesday it was down, and was working this morning. I had to come home, so I can't tell about tomorrow.:sad2:

It doesn't come into effect until Jan 1st so we're not completely sure yet, but as far as we can tell 'Garden View' (which seems to include landscaping, courtyards, bayou, etc) basically just ensures that you'll get a room which does not have a parking lot view.
