I hadn't even thought about decorating our room window! What a great idea. We have some Mickey Halloween window clings that we use every year at home. I'll have to put those in my Disney box! ;)

Can someone who is there now or just got back please tell me what color mugs are being offered. I'd like the black one for my husband and grandson, other colors seem a little girly. Thanks for your help

They definitely had black cups at POFQ. :goodvibes

Just back from POFQ. I want to thank all of you for your great input that helped me pick this resort. It was awesome, and I highly doubt we will stay at any other mod again!!! (of course, the next trip is probably a few years away...)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hello! I am about 90% sure I'm staying here for my solo birthday trip in February '12. Do you think this resort is a good choice for a solo traveler? TIA!

I think it would be great for that. It is so beautiful. There would be a lot of places to chill by yourself. Also, since you are by yourself and it is compact, you don't have too long of a walk to any main areas.

I go to WDW several times a year and at least 2-3 of those trips are solo. My favorite resorts for my solo trips are POFQ and CSR. POFQ is so small, no room is very far from the main building, plus you have the boat to DTD.

Lots of people do, it's fun to walk round the resort and see the creativity. This is from October last year at POFQ:

What can you get for dessert at POFQ food court with a Counter Service Credit? beignets? ice cream cookie sandwich? Or is it just the reg brownie/cookie?

ice cream, milkshakes, beignets, cookies... There are several choices. :) It is not just the brownie/cookie choice.

To tag along with the dessert question.......if you are on the DDP and would like to get ice cream as a dessert, is there a way to buy your entree and drink first, and then go back to get an ice cream dessert after you've finished eating the entree?

We stayed at Riverside for the first time last month and it was just soooooo spread out that we didn't enjoy it like I thought we would. My two boys and husband all complained about the walk to the food court/lobby area and it was so hot their complaints were justified.
We did go over to French Quarter a couple of times during our stay and I loved how compact everything was so I booked our May 30-June 8, 2012 trip at French Quarter yesterday!!! My husband and youngest son will not be traveling with us next year (their decision) so it will only be my oldest son and I.
I'm very excited about staying at French Quarter for the first time and hopefully free dining will be offered again for our time frame!!! :thumbsup2

I did this to my room in 2009! You can just see my big Lime Green Mickey Head with the phrase "Do You DIS?" The other Mickey heads I made by scanning a Mickey head from HD, then pasting a Villian inside it.

We were able to do this at ASMovies, so I am sure you can at POFQ. You just tell them that is what you would like to do, and they stamp your receipt. Then when you are ready, you bring your receipt back with you to get your dessert.

Speaking of the food court at POFQ, what can you get for drinks at the kiosk with your refillable mug? Same as the AllStars or do they have some different options?
