The only negative thing I can say, which really won't be a negative for everyone, is the pool. My kids are 13 and 14 and found it kind of lame. The slide is very cool-looking, though short, and for younger kids I think the pool is great.

Our kids are 20 & 17.
We plan on staying at the POFQ - looks like the best moderate.
We have a pool at home so we will just use the pool to cool off for a bit.

When we have stayed for 10 nights at other resorts on WDW property, we only used the resort pool 3 times.;)
So the pool is not our #1 reason to stay at a resort.

We like resorts for:
location
resort size (how easy it it to get around)
transportation to the parks
room size

We have an O'hana ressie at 8:20 pm. :cool1: I am looking for the best route to take to get to the Poly. My guess is bus to MK and then either a ferry or the monorail to Poly. Thoughts or other suggestions?

We are doing AK that day, so I expect we will be back to the resort by 5 or so to freshen up. If we leave POFQ by 7 will we have enough time to wander around the Poly a little?

TIA:thumbsup2

PS - What's the best way to get back? I believe it is a MNSSHP night, so maybe just back to MK and bus back to POFQ?

that's how we did it in April....bus to MK then boat to Poly, should be enough time!! and then did the reverse going back!

2 questions here....

Does anyone know if or when the recreation schedule will come out for November?

And which is the best building to stay in to be close to the laundry room and close to parking lot??? (We will be getting a car while down there)

November's rec schedule should be out by 1st November, maybe a day earlier if we're lucky.

The laundry room is by the pool, so building 4 would be a decent choice, but nowhere is far from anything at POFQ.

In the mail today I received a post card asking me to go online and complete a survey about POFQ. I was very honest and I only had one negative thing to mention and that was being woken up at 1AM by bell services delivering luggage that was lost. We had asked for them to hold until my sister came to get it in the morning.

Has anyone else received one of these. I have stayed at the Poly several times and have never received a survey request.

Parts of Building 5 are directly across from the entrance to the laundry area. I've lugged our laundry (just dh and I) from river front rooms in Building 5 and 6 and found it to be manageable.

an email with the online survey link a couple of weeks after we returned from our trip.

If we have the GG deliver an order to POFQ an hour or two before we arrive, will the hotel store refrigerated items in a refrigerator for us as well as hold the order for us somewhere?

Then is there a cart or something we can use to bring the order to our room or will bell service do that?

Thanks,
Sydnerella's Mama

My DD5 wants me to "type the banana" so here goes

Yes they will refrigerate the orders and bell services will deliver them to your room, just remind guest services when you check in you have the order!

Disney sends out a lot of these, enough to get a statistically signifiant measure. Guest Satisfaction Measurement is something taken very, very seriously.

The Laundry rooms are located by the quiet pools. We stay in the mansion section, so if you are staying there I'd request a room in either Acadian House or Magnolia Terrace near quiet pool. No building is far from the parking in the Mansion section.

Andre- have you heard if they will start setting up chairs for the evening movies? Hard to sit on a towel for 2 hrs, lol!

Are the movies only a summer thing or will they be permanent? Will likely be at POFQ at end of January/beginning of February 2012.

They will be permanent, I'm told. Don't know about chairs though...
