Can anybody tell me what the rooms are like and what building would be the best for a 1 and 10 year old. We are arriving iAugust 15 until August 24.
Thank you
Hi Andkat,
POFQ is a beautiful resort you won't be disappointed! If I had a choice of buildings it would be #5. Although every building is in easy walking distance to the pool/ food court. They share busses with PORS but what is nice is that the FQ gets picked up first and is the first to get dropped off. With riverside they have several stops where as FQ has only one. I think you will really enjoy your stay there. The pool is really cool it has a dragon slide I think your children will enjoy that and now that RS and FQ are now one resort you can go over to RS and use there pool. There is also a boat that goes to DD. I hope you have a great time!!
The kids'll love POFQ. I don't think there is a bad building in the entire resort. Stayed in building #1 and my family loved the location. we had a courtyard view, though we only requested standard. It was close enough to the pool yet far enough away to feel private. The food court and bus stop is very convenient. You can't go wrong with location at this resort.
We stayed at the French Quarter 2 years ago in building #5. It was the perfect location - close to both the food court/buses and the pool, but it was still quiet at night (we had a view of the courtyard from our room, the pool views might be a little noisy.)
The rooms are decorated in a vaguely "southern" way The televsion is in a large armoire, you will have a table and chairs, and there are 2 sinks that are separate from the toilet / shower, which makes getting ready for more than one person at a time easy. The beds are doubles, and I think the colors of the bedspreads were a dark teal and maroon? Could be wrong though...
The food court is nice, though small, and the whole resort has a uncrowded feeling. I'm so glad it's going to be open again!
