I heard that PO-FQ was re-opening next weekend. Does anyone have any inside information about the resort? Was it rehabbed? New anything? Are the old amenities back, like the boat to the Marketplace? DM wants to plan a trip for October and needs some information.

The boat ride to Downtown Disney is back. I don't know yet about the rehab, but I will post when we get back on June 14/15 from our week's stay. We are excited about the re-opening of this beautiful resort.

I too am looking forward for the inside news from DISers on POFQ. We are staying in November and can't wait!!!

Anyone staying there on the re-opening weekend?:jester: :bounce:

We are staying there for the 1st time in October, and I am so excited. We have stayed at PO-R (when it was DXL) twice, so I am really anxious to try the sister resort. I have always heard so many great reviews! Look forward to reading everyones' reports!

PO-FQ was a great resort. When it opened in the early 90's, Bonfamille's was regarded as one of the better restaurants on the property. The size was the most appealing aspect, along with great bus service until they tried to merge both resorts onto one bus line. I'll give it a shot again, but in November 2000, my last stay there, it seemed dirty, not well kept. Age played a factor then, and I can see why it was the choice for closing, but unless they brightened it up, this re-opening my be short lived.

Looking foward to your report honeychild. DH and I will be checking in July 13 for 3 nts then off to the BCV.

Honeychild....How long will you be there? We are going June 18. I hope you post as soon as you are back.. Can not wait to hear all about the new rehabed PO-FQ. thanks,,,corvair

We start off at PO Riverside and move to POFQ on May31. We leave on Tuesday, June 4. Our party is made up of 6 adults and 6 children, so that means we have three rooms to look at. I'll have plenty of opinions too. I'll take some digital pictures and try to post them for you all to see. We've never stayed at either of these two resorts. The only moderate we've stayed in is CBR (once during the summer and once at Christmas). We liked the CBR - Trinadad (the one furthest from anywhere). It was quiet and peaceful. Our group are big fans of New Orleans, just went for Mother's Day. So, I think this will be perfect. I'll post as soon as I return.
