Were trying to decide where to book next Oct and were wondering Which one is best?

I haven't stayed at either but chose Riverside for more eating options and more pools. From what I've read they are both supposed to be beautiful resorts and FQ was voted the best mod on All Ears from the reviews.

We stayed a POFQ last year. It's a lovely resort very pretty and compact, everything is close by foodcourt, pool, rooms etc. The boat to Downtown Disney is great. The downside if you can call it that, is it doesn't have a table service restaurant unlike Riverside and only one pool.
We had a walk over to Riverside to hire a boat one day and that is also a really pretty resort but much bigger but it has a lovely feel to it :goodvibes
I don't think you would be disappointed by either one you choose.

We have booked to stay at POR in sept/oct this year. There is loads of information on both resorts on WDWinfo.com. We chose POR over POFQ based on the level of amenities services etc. It also seemed to be the more family friendly of the two. However it seems that you cant go wrong choosing either. Enjoy the research.:yay:

We chose Riverside. Reviews for both resorts are pretty similar so I just chose the one I liked the look of best. Riverside is a gorgeous resort, has a fantastic foodcourt (a lot more choice then at FQ, the make your own pasta and salads were our favourites... although FQ has beignets, yummy!).
Check out www.portorleans.org, great website that might help you make up your mind.
But as others have said, both are an excellent choice and you'll have an amazing time! :thumbsup2

Hi
We stayed at POR last year, and found it GREAT. We would recomend it to any one.:thumbsup2
Just noticed your from my home town, where my family still live. I left 20+ years ago.
We stayed in Alligator Bayou building 18, which was close to food court, carpark and one of the small pools which we had to ourselves some days.

Thank you for all your info! Hopefully we will be booking in the morning if i get the go ahead from DH:thumbsup2 21 nights at Riverside:banana: Next October.

Where abouts are you from in Warrington:)

Price we have been quoted is £4414 for 21 nights POR, 21 days car hire with platinum insurance with I4 4Dr, 3 x 21 days ultimate tickets free Disney dining and free sat nav! For 2 adults and a 9yr old.

I just booked 7 days at POR yesterday. I couldn't decide either but in the end thought that Riverside had a better feel. We'll see! Both got very good reviews but in the "Unoffical Guide to Walt Disney" the Riverside was rated consistently higher. Of course it's all subjective!

I can't wait!
