I just made a reservation for Port Orleans Riverside standard view with a king size bed for $165 per night weekend of Feb 1. They said that was with the Florida Residents Discount. Does that sound right? It seems like it should be less than that with the discount. It was $15 extra for the king size.

It is high - call them back and give them the FLorida resident code - FHZ.

if it is still the same price - then all the king beds at POR - are gone for that discount.

so try another resort.

Nope, it should be $115/night. That's what I'm paying for 1/4-1/7 at POFQ for a king room. At the moderates, the weekends are the same price as the weeknights - $99/2 doubles, $115 for king rooms or waterview.

All the rooms may be gone at that price, though. I originally booked CSR but wanted to try somewhere new and kept checking availability online. Finally, POFQ showed up with a king room at the Florida resident rate and I called and changed my reservation.

I just did a quick search online for you, 2/1-2/4 at the Florida resident rate and nothing came up for POR, but there was availability at CSR and CBR. I would check one of those two resorts. It's worth $50/night to switch!

Good luck!

Go to www.disneyworld.com and at the top, click where it says "Florida Residents." Then, you'll have to enter your zip code. On the next screen, look for a box on the right that says, "Great Resort Deals." Click that and it will take you to a list of current deals. Pick the top one that says for stays in January and February. The next screen gives details of when and which resorts are included, and there's a place to click that says, "Book Now."

Then, you'll enter your dates and how many in your party, and it will search resorts. You will have to scroll down to find POR, click that, and if there is no availability, it will come up with an "alternate offer." Three nights in a king room at any of the moderates is $389. You should be able to pick your room preference - king or waterview or standard. Like I said, when I did it, POR was full, so it showed up with CBR and CSR.

For the record, I check prices and availability online, but I call CRO to book, and get the same price. I like to be able to have them notate any special instructions on the reservation in the computer.

If POR is not available, I highly recommend CSR. It has excellent bus service and is a beautiful resort. We've stayed there twice and love it. The only reason why we changed for our upcoming trip was because it is only the two of us and I wanted to try a different resort this time.

Hope you can get the right price! If you get stuck, just call CRO back and tell them you didn't get the Florida resident price when you booked and you want to apply the code the previous poster listed. They should be able to help you, no problem. They can tell you what's available and change your resort and you won't have to leave another deposit.

Hope this helps!
