Port orleans closed???

according to the home page here and a couple other places,the french quarter is now closed and the rest of por will be closed by the end of this yearreservation no longer taken as of April. problem being we are supposed to be staying there the beginning of Jan 2004???anyone know anything about this before I panic and get on the phone to who knows who?

POFQ has been closed since April/May of this year for renovations, original estimates were that it would reopen in December of this year.

POR will follow with renovations over an 18 month (?) period, but it will NOT be closed down, work will be done a section at a time. SO you should be all set for POR if you already have reservations.

Thanks, just read another thread that says pofg will open end of dec this year would like to stay there so may try to switch if possible.
