Hi: Looking for a peaceful building and not too far from the eating areas and quiet pool. Anybody have any comments on which alligator building is a nice one. I can walk a little but I have osteoarthritis of the hip.

Thanks,

Deb.

We have decided to request bldg. 18 when we go back this summer, it wasn't to far to the food court, I'm not sure about a quiet pool though. We stayed in bldg.15 in August it wasn't very far from the food court from there either.

In August we stayed in AB building #16! It was SOOO quiet and peaceful! We were on the secong floor and the quiet pool was right below! That was must for us also because we have big swimmers in our family and we wanted the pool to be right there. The resort was full capacity but did not hear any noise and the resort is big enough that it never seemed crowded when we went on our walks to explore. It took 5-10 minutes to get to the food court. I would stay there everytime if I was allowed. It was the prefect location for us!

While we stayed in building 16 we only had to pass buildings 15 and 14. It was a beautiful walk! I think the nearest quiet pool in this area is right outside 16 and it is on the backside of another building but not sure which one.

Building 85 and 90 are across the river from the main building with easy access to a bridge and adjacent to a quiet pool. Both these buildings are in the Mansions section of the resort. Building 90 would be slightly quicker, but building 85 is close to a bus stop. We found the Mansions to be a more quieter area than AB.

In regards to AB, I'd request building 14, 18 (not facing quiet pool), or 27 (most quiet of all 3.) We were in Building 26 on our last trip, and even though it was slightly more of a walk than we would have liked, it was centrally located between the west depot bus stop and the main building and VERY quiet. Our views were of a "pond" with some high brush and it was very relaxing. We had 2 quiet pools that were very close to us (not as close as the other buildings I mentioned above) but didn't have to worry about any pool noise.

I stayed in building 18 last May and LOVED the location. I have rheumatoid arthritis and plantar fasciitis, so walking and location is something that I have to take into consideration too.

Here's a link directly to my web page with a lot of pictures and some of my comments from that trip: http://www.brownfamilyvacations.com/html/POR2007.htm

Enjoy, and have a great trip! :sunny:

We were in building 18 during our visit last month and LOVED the location! Walking along the path along the river from the main building...first you pass 14 and then 18 is next. On the far side of 18 is the quiet pool and the laundry room. We thought it was the PERFECT location!

Thanks for all the great info, everyone.

Seaspray, as always I enjoy your vacation pictures. Keep them coming.

Deb.
