Port or Starboard

Eastern Caribbean on Fantasy....

Which would you pick starboard or port?

It depends on what you like, but I think most people would suggest Starboard because you can see the fireworks from outside your window/balcony.

The ship is usually backed into port at Castaway Cay, so you would have a view of the lagoon on the starboard side.

Both side are fine for us, but having the view of the lagoon on Castaway Cay is pretty cool.

We were able to see the sun rise on our side of the ship. First time I could get and jump out on the balcony, watch it for a minute before it popped up into the clouds, and then go back to bed. I definitely enjoyed that aspect of it. When we got back to PC, it was so overcast, there was no way a sun rise would have been seen...

I really can't remember technically. Let's see I had an even number stateroom and the aft was to our left..
Cringe... Is that port side...?

Just back from the 5/4 Eastern - the ship docked on the port side at all 3 places. We had the best views of the islands pulling into port and also the harbor pilot boarded on the port side at both St. Maarten and St. Thomas (this was cool to see). The ship then does a 180 degree turn and we got to watch the docking process while getting ready.

I don't think you can go wrong with either side though If there's something specific you want to watch, you can just go to Deck 4, 11 or 12 on the other side.

I like port because then you're in the shade during Muster drill! We did the starboard side during muster once - and it was a very long 30 minutes standing in the direct Florida sun at the hottest time of day.

Or your muster could be like ours, in a nice cool theater with seats.
