We have a cruise booked in December out of Miami. We are likely staying at the embassy suites at the airport the night before. Does anyone have good recommendations for a private transfer from the hotel to the port and then back to the airport at the end of the cruise? Thanks!

I stayed at the Embassy Suites Miami airport last month. The hotel offered a shuttle to port which I want to say was $10 per person or so. We did not book that. We just walked down to concierge desk and they called us a taxi van which was there right away. The taxi van was about $34 I think (we had to have van bc 5 people and a few suitcases). I normally use Uber or Lyft but the taxis had a flat charge which was slightly less than Uber or Lyft at that time. I’d say just check that morning what the rideshares are charging and ask concierge desk what taxi rate is and either way it’s a short easy ride to port! Also the embassy suites has free shuttle from airport to hotel and free big hot breakfast buffet which we really nice to fill up our bellies with free buffet so we weren’t starving for lunch!

Great! I was hoping that there might be some sort of shuttle option at the hotel. I called to ask and the person that answered I think was at a general call center for hilton because they kept putting me on hold and couldn't really give me a good answer in the end, they said they thought there would be. Normally I would ride share but we have our 3 young kids going with us that still need car seats/boosters so plus with our luggage I don't think we would fit.

We stayed at the EB Hotel in Miami last week which is one of the hotels that DCL uses for their transfers. I know you didn't ask for that info but thought I would share my experience.

I had hotel points through Chase so didn't book hotel through Disney. I did ask DCL if I would still be able to book transfers from the hotel to the port and they said yes. The hotel has a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. When I checked in I mentioned I was taking the DCL bus next morning but I did not get the info letter. I asked someone else who was staying there through DCL and said to be in lobby at 9:45 am (I forgot to ask about luggage pick up). We had a knock on our door to pick up our luggage but we didn't know they were coming so we weren't ready. The man was so nice he said no problem and came back in 15 minutes.

I asked when the DCL rep would be in the lobby in the am (was told 7:30 am....not true) and I spoke to her when she arrived around 8:50 ish. DCL didn't send our luggage tags but the DCL rep had some there and we filled them out and attached to our bags. Transfers were $21 pp with under 3 free.

We did not have to pick a PAT by using the transfers and we had boarding group 2. We were ushered right into the terminal when we gave our bags (under the bus) to the porters. We tested, and then boarded right at noon. They even had the family of the day again. On the return to the airport we took a taxi for a flat rate of $37.

Sorry for rambling!!!

We also stayed at the EB the night before our Spring Break cruise. We took the free airport to hotel shuttle. And the DCL shuttle from the hotel to the port in the morning. I paid $27 for a standard taxi from the port to the airport for the return trip.
All three methods/shuttles were very easy and efficient!

We are also staying at the Embassy Suites at the airport for a cruise in December! I booked it at a rate that includes transfers to the port, so you should have that option when booking. I did, however, read some posts from people warning in general (not specifically this hotel) about booking a hotel's shuttle to the port, because I gather that sometimes there are only a few shuttles and you might not get one at the time you want, according to when your PAT is, etc. So I do plan to call the hotel directly when it gets closer to ask about that. I'm glad to read here that getting a taxi or Uber from the hotel to the port is relatively easy, as that'll be my Plan B!

We stayed at a different hotel in Miami before our cruise, but the hotel did offer a paid shuttle service. As the PP mentioned the shuttle time was well after out PAT. We took an Uber XL since there were 4 of us with 4 suitcases--it was $37 plus tip.

We booked our transfer with the cruise, Disney picks you up and brings you back...
