When you get through security, is there an elevator or just the escalator. My MIL is in a wheel chair.

If you are parking your own car park on the third floor. There is a crossover bridge and you'll be on the correct level.

At Port Canaveral, my friend in a wheelchair (and the rest of her party) were pulled from the regular line to go through a hidden security line, right by the elevator.

At Port Canaveral, my friend in a wheelchair (and the rest of her party) were pulled from the regular line to go through a hidden security line, right by the elevator.

Don't count on this. My father was in a wheelchair and they made us go through regular security from the third level of the parking garage.

As a side note, the third floor of the garage is also where the handicapped parking spaces are.
