Pors?

The only moderate resort I've never stayed at is PORS. The fact that it is so big and that the buses go there after POFQ always concerned me. I really want to try it though and have a standard room booked for Sept 6th-14th. I'll be with my mom, who will be in an ECV. I know people on ECVs are boarded first. When I made the ressie, I had the CM put bottom floor, building 14 or as close to the main building as posible in the Alligator Bayou section and that my mom will be on an ECV. What are my chances for getting a building close to the main building? My mom will ave to use an ECV for going any distances, but can walk short distances most of the time. She really likes to get up very early and wander over to the food court for her morning coffee and to just look around in peace and quiet. However, she gets lost easily and again can not walk long distances, but does not want to use the ECV unless absolutely necessary. I have no problem paying for a preferred room in order to ensure that we are close to the main building, but have read that the only requests you can make at PORS are king rooms and water view rooms, but a water view might be of just a pool. That would do us no good. We need close to the main building. What would be the best way of getting in that location?

Also is the bus situation as bad as I've heard it is? Again with my mom on an ECV I'm a little concerened about staying at PORS, but would really like to try it just once.

I can't answer the 1st part but I can about the buses. We heard bad about the buses too and were prepared for waits. We had none. There was no lines. No hour waits. No over crowded buses (any more so than any of the other buses). Some days we shared with POFQ and some days we had our own buses. They picked us up 1st and then POFQ and dropped off POFQ 1st on the way back. Handicapped got on and off 1st. We only used the main entrance once though. We usually went to the bus stop in the back of our building and there was never anyone there really. And we went the lst week of Aug to the 1st week of Sept. The hotels were all maxed out! So if you have patience and understanding....it isn't that bad at all! I give it a

Can only share about the buses.... we went last year 9/11-9/22 and NEVER waited longer than 5 minutes for a bus. Only one time did we share with POFQ,,, and that was still not bad. We had excellent experience with POR buses.

I was at POFQ May 3rd-10th this year and the bus always went to POFQ first. Usually by the time we got to the last couple of stops at PORS the bus was full and sometimes the bus didn't even make all the PORS stops before it went to the parks. What concerns me is if we are stuck at one of the last bus stops, are they going to refuse to let us on because of my mom's ECV? Also my mom doesn't want to use the ECV at PORS, so really wants a room close to the main building.

As far as ECVs getting on and off the buses, my mom has always been the first one on, but always the last off.
